I guessed Deliverance on Thursday, which was published in 1970, so I can’t check the box. I’ve seen Jaws, but I momentarily forgot it was adapted from a novel.

Sure you can. It meets the first part of the "or" statement.

Stuck with Truman instead of switching to (Teddy) Roosevelt; switched from The Hunt for Red October to Jaws at the last second.
Have seen the movie Jaws but not read the book.
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

Of course I've read Jaws - I didn't want to miss the sex scenes they cut for the movie...- spoiler below (That's the best reason to read The Godfather, too...) ;)
Spoiler
In the book, the Richard Dreyfuss character has an affair with Chief Brody's wife...

Went with olives on the Turkish fruit.
Got Mimi from "Rent;" have only seen a few excerpts from La Boheme.

Re the Spielberg blockbuster -- I hope no one will be offended if I tell an absolutely true story about it. It may or may not be deemed politically incorrect, since it pertains to the accent of a non-native English speaker. I don't write dialect well, but I'll do my best to convey the flavor of a confusing conversation.

I was visiting Amsterdam in the mid-70s with a buddy, and stayed at a B&B with several other visitors, including an Israeli couple visiting from Tel Aviv. One evening the Israeli gentlemen turned to us and said, "Vat you boyss do tonight? You vant come viss my vife and me? Vee go see jews tonight." We were a little nonplussed, and weren't sure how to answer that question from an Israeli, so we simply said, "Excuse me?" He repeated it just about word for word, and again we asked for a repeat. After about three iterations, he got a little impatient, made biting motions like he was operating a hand puppet, and practically shouted, "Vee go see jews tonight -- jews! You know, de moofie viss de charks." With huge relief we agreed it would be a nice evening to accompany them.

So I saw Jaws for the first time with an Israeli couple in Amsterdam, in English with Dutch subtitles. It was fun listening to everyone scream "Walfish! Walfish!" at the screen.
I'm not the defending Jeopardy! champion. But I have played one on TV.

Teddy
Figs
Hunt for Red October.
Carl Sagan Tree Hugger (just kidding). Amazing Vincent went out on a 97% get clue. What's the record (easiest clue for the boardies, not the easiest to knock out a leader)?

Saw the movie Jaws - most memorable part is the Indianapolis story.

Camelot was my only thought for the Jackie question. "The first recorded use of camel as a color name in English was in 1916", says Wikipedia. I think I've heard of Grey Gardens, but not as anything in particular.

I clicked "read Jaws" but I guess only browsed it. I don't think I could have spent as much as 41 minutes. But while I'm on the subject, another message board, a few years back, invited posters to summarize a novel in a limerick. I submitted this:

The Amity beach crowd withdrew
As the water turned redder than blue.
The season's a dud.
Though the red's only blood,
They think it's red dye #2.
I'm smart and I want respect.
