TD 389 - SHC (Final results)

Post by clt013 » Mon Jul 16, 2018 9:29 am

This TD is called "SHC" (which stands for "Sheep Hath Cometh") and brings back a lot of answers that were most used responses in my previous quizzes.

Rules/Notes
1) Lowest point total wins; your score for each question is equal to the total number of players submitting that same answer
2) You may use one drop and take zero points for that question
3) You may elect to take the sheep answer for one question
4) There is no bonus for not using the "drop" or "sheep", so you probably want to take the former and get a zero for one question
5) Wrong responses are the higher of either +10 points or the "sheep" answer +3
6) In response to a recent controversy, this quiz will be letter "preferred" (not "required") for questions 1-10. If your response is among the right answers for a particular question yet does not include a letter or has the wrong letter, it will be judged as correct with a +2 "penalty" added to your total.
7) All answers are due by 8 AM Central time on Tuesday, July 24, 2018
8) Submit answers via this Google form or PM

I got a little clever with one of my responses; I’ll spend the reveal wondering if any other players tried to pull the same fast one I did.

I have to say that I find it hard to believe that these were mostly sheep on other TDs. I only knew one or maybe two answers to multiple questions. I just have to hope they're obscure.

Every time an interstates question comes up in a TD and I have to burn a drop on it, I tell myself that I'll finally study them...and then I promptly forget. *inserts another drop*

Reese Witherspoon and The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, the sheep? Yeah sure.

Exactly. These questions disadvantage us New Yorkers, who already have to contend with the MTA!

Every time an interstates question comes up in a TD and I have to burn a drop on it, I tell myself that I'll finally study them...and then I promptly forget. *inserts another drop*
Exactly. These questions disadvantage us New Yorkers, who already have to contend with the MTA!
I could identify Arizona because our dog's bladder taps out around the intersection of I-40 and I-17 on any given road trip. He pretty much owns a patch of a Denny's parking lot by now.

I drove on all 3 of them the Friday I was out there, so it seemed to be the one to pick.

I would have expected Lohan to be the sheep on that question, but that's not even the one that really hurt me. I figured, "What's the one movie on that list I know but have never actually seen?"

I literally knew ONE answer to the first two questions and just rolled the dice that California would be involved in the interstates question. So why are all you sheepmates piling onto my ignorance! Baaaaaack off!!

I kinda like this "letter preferred" thing - I feel like it's a good medium between penalizing people for forgetting a letter when they know it and allowing people to go "I don't know any of these offhand but ____ is probably one of them."
