RTFQ... "Kooky" family from the '60s? It's in the theme song for Pete's sake!

Ugh, Saturday's set was brutal. Nothing past the third row.

Gah. Opera set on a plantation? Porgy and Bess features African-American characters, so maybe? WECIB, right?

I've decided not to RQ. The first half uniquely identifies Moloch. Moloch is a correct answer to the second part. The only issue is that the second part, which asks for "the Canaanite god to whom firstborns were sacrificed," arguably applies to Baal as well (and, in that case, should have not used "the Canaanite god"). I don't think the issue arises to a fatal flaw.rjaguar3 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 03, 2018 1:52 amI will be discussing this with the other editors.
Again, my regrets for the question that could certainly have been worded better.

I have to admit that I wouldn't have gotten Palau if I hadn't visited on a dive vacation many years ago, back when it was still a US possession. So, I'm equally impressed with the folks that got it.Steppenwolf wrote: ↑Fri Aug 03, 2018 7:13 pm
I’m very impressed with the high get rate on Palau... congrats to those that got that! Apparently all these Jeopardy! hopefuls are paying attention to the advice to learn those world capitals.

I would have liked to play all of the categories for my first year, but last week was a convention weekend and when I took a look at the football clues and didn't know any of them, I figured it would be okay to turn my focus elsewhere for a few days.
