Days 5 and 6 of each round are posted on Friday, so you have the weekend to work on them. Day 5 is being posted now, and Day 6 will come up this evening.

POWERS OF TEN

2: In "The Twelve Days of Christmas", ten of these are given on the 10th day of Christmas.

4: Element number 100 on the periodic table is this element named for an Italian nuclear physicist.

6: $1,000 was the top prize for a televised version of this competition on the Black Family Channel, far less than the over $40,000 Karthik Nemmani won in 2018.

8: Literally meaning 10,000, this six-letter word can also refer to any large number.

10: The largest denomination of U.S. currency ever printed was a $100,000 gold certificate; the front features this President who signed the Federal Reserve Act.

The clues in this category pertain to capital cities of U.N. member nations.

3: By far, it's the most populous capital city in North America.

6: This southernmost world capital is also extremely windy because of the Roaring Forties that move through the Cook Strait.

9: The world capital with the lowest elevation is this Azerbaijani capital on the Caspian Sea, 28 m below mean sea level.

12: These two capital cities of African countries named for the same river are just 2 miles apart.

15: From the small world capitals department: Melekeok State, with population 277, contains Ngerulmud, the capital of this country whose capital was once Koror City.
