AMENDMENTS IN THE SUPREME COURT
Notable Supreme Court cases related to specific Constitutional amendments.

2: 4th: Carpenter v. United States (2018) addressed the need for a warrant for location records created by these devices, whose search required a warrant in Riley v. California (2014).

4: 8th: The 5-4 decision Roper v. Simmons (2005) held that capital punishment for this group of people is unconstitutional; automatic life-without-parole for them was banned in Miller v. Alabama (2012).

6: 13th and 14th: John Marshall Harlan was the lone dissenter in the 1896 case where the Supreme Court ruled this mixed-race man's rights weren't violated by having to sit in a "separate but equal" railroad car.

8: 2nd: This was the second city to have a handgun ban invalidated by the Supreme Court; it was struck down in a 2010 decision incorporating the 2nd amendment against the states.

10: 1st: Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire (1942) first introduced this two-word term for unprotected speech "that by [its] very utterance inflict[s] injury or tend[s] to incite an immediate breach of the peace".

CLASSIC FILMS

9: Both a 1925 silent film starring Ramon Novarro and a 1959 film that won Best Picture were based on this 1880 novel subtitled "A Tale of the Christ".

12: This 1940 film based on a Daphne du Maurier novel was Hitchcock's first American project.

15: Ray Milland plays alcoholic writer Don Birnam on his Thursday-to-Tuesday quest for booze in this 1945 film.
