Almost as much as we love our superfluous apostrophe's.
All language's need their quirk's
And verbing weirds language.

Seems that you and Dr. G. will do anything to get ahead.
Well played, sir.

36 right.

What Ball Are You Chasing? (2), History in Brief (4), Mental Floss (5), Mob Rule (2), Similar Words (1), "A", Baby! (2)
Fantasy & Paranormal Lit (4), Urban Planning (1), Movie Role, TV Role (5), 3 "E"S (2), Mali (4), Or Bust (4)

Lach Trash: Thomas Becket, respite, Ray Liotta, Alexander Hamilton

My very first thought was the Marquis de Sade; I knew the invention, but wasn't exactly sure how the doctor's name was spelled, but I managed to get it without the "e".

More like a disconnection.

There's only one other time where they spotted the contestants "night of broken this" and just wanted "glass". It was second box down in that case. Someone got it right, as I would expect.

This clue was polled at your request. Came in at 83%. There's your answer. Solid top box material, but second box wouldn't be inappropriate. Any lower down would be silly.

So how did 83% of people know something that's only come up once before?

It's as if we learn stuff outside of a game show.

I've been to several Holocaust museums. It was an extremely pivotal night.

I found a stupid way to get this one wrong: I said Guillot.
You're not alone. I immediately wrote down "Guillotine," then decided "ine" might be a suffix. Geez Louise.
