This is where all of the games are discussed.

No luck for me. My method was to use Google images and look for a match. My search terms were towers of the world, memorial towers, and observation towers. The closest I could find were the Flight 93 Memorial and the Battleship Yamato Memorial.

For the source of your picture is is possible to get a nationality hint from the people seen? Good luck if it comes from some futuristic sci-fi TV show or movie and tower is fictional.

If it's an actually existing structure and not sci-fi, based on it being so distinctive yet unfamiliar to Western eyes and Google's AI, it's likely in some little-known burgeoning metropolis in Asia, like in a former Soviet republic or perhaps in China. On a hunch I used Google Maps to scan Pyongyang. No luck. My guess is sci-fi, though.

It looks like the Quezon Memorial Shrine in Quezon City in the Philippines.

Google Maps doesn't have a 3-D model of this structure but if you position yourself just right you can get a fairly good perspective view.

Someone's gotta stop having partners who dress in red trenchcoats and fedoras

A week ago, I told Google Maps that the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge had opened. They still haven't added it. (You can see it under construction on the satellite view, but it's not on their maps.) I have one long-ago Google Maps correction from when it was pretty new -- fixing the name of the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir (they had it as the Hetchy Hetch Reservoir).

Thanks. I saw a 10-second clip of it on Frontline earlier this week and the audio put it in either Myanmar or the Philippines. My web search for "tower Manila" and "tower Rangoon" did no good.

Not to quibble but Isengard isn't the country either. It's a region in Calenardhon, which in turn was a part of greater Gondor until the steward Cirion gave it to Eorl and it became known as Rohan.

True. I should have put "in" before Isengard.
