Thu - Rhine / Rhone and then got blinded by the cutesy wordplay

Missed Richelieu by a second
Brain was doing the 50/50 Bishkek, Tashkent thing and I never actually 'rang in' to count the rebound at home.

Had Tashkent in mind but couldn't quite ring in.

Couldn't muster a guess Tuesday.
Nearly said Rhein/Main, but talked myself into switching to the Danube before locking it in.

2/5 for FJs. I had Danube and Rhone although Rhine was also in mind, I believe. I'm glad I got the first one, at least, when it seems like that was the one that most of the people who missed the answer left out.

Same boat, not as glad, considering my wife and I spent a couple of days in a hotel overlooking the Rhine just three months ago (in 99-degree heat, sadly). Why I continually confuse Rhine and Rhone is beyond me.

I just remember that the actual spelling is Rhône and as soon as I "see" the circumflex, I know it's French.

The picture of the ballbarrow just about matched my mind's-eye image, but it didn't give me any clue as to what they were asking for (name nor product). I don't think of vacuum cleaners as sophisticated but then I've never been much of a housekeeper.

Then, the Rhine of course but what other? The Danube is the most famous candidate river, but the Elbe is more famously German. The Danube does, I saw later, nonetheless go through a pretty fair bit of German territory, but avoids any major cities. Pretty tricky of it since it then tries to go through every capital in Eastern Europe.

On Monday I had just enough time to write down "What is A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "...Twelfth Night (Or, What You Will)" and cross out the right one (to cross out).
I'm smart and I want respect.

I dislike Psycho - I find it not suspenseful at all; neither it nor The Birds holds up well for me - so it never even came to mind. I wrote down Goldfinger just to have something, although I knew it wasn’t right.

Was shocked that Cardinal Richelieu was a TS; I guess Dumas was rolling over in his grave. Sacrebleu!

  :( :( Derped Psycho, had Rhine and Oder. Thought Danube was too far south.
  :( Woulda guessed Tashkent but wouldn't pull the trigger unless I was desperate.
"The Red Eminence" for Richelieu should be a Pavlov.
