The only one of these FJs that gave me any trouble (I'll count Loki as WECIB) was Mount Rushmore - once I saw the significance of 4 segments it loomed out of the darkness...

I assume "moccasins" is a jokey attempt to make the saying a faux-Indian proverb...I've heard it.

Knew the Norse mythology, knew Requiem from Amadeus.
Saw Devil's Tower in person summer '77, easy to get from CEot3K.

Interesting week. Loki was the only one I knew for sure (I could have named Sleipnir if asked); I thought the dates were too late for Mt. Rushmore and Thomas, I didn't know if Mozart composed a requiem (have not seen Amadeus), and while I was pretty sure it was Devils (something), I had severe doubts about Tower (have seen Close Encounters).

As for moccasins, I've never heard that version of the phrase. I thought moccasins would be right, but clammed.

Agree with WECIB on Loki; only way I got it.
Slapping my forehead with Mt Rushmore.
Another WECIB with Dylan Thomas; the birth date didn’t confuse me because I remembered he died very young.
Knew the Mozart piece without referencing the movie, but I have seen the movie - not a favorite though.
Took about half the music to come up with Devils Tower; for some reason, I initially couldn’t shake a false conviction that Jaws was in 1977. Once I got the temporal sequence correct, then instaget.

And I’ve heard “walk a mile in his/her moccasins” many times since childhood, and I’ve known what moccasins are since childhood, although I’ve never had any - I’m a tennis shoe maven myself.

Never heard of the Norse myth, but figured there were a limited number of gods they would ask about (and that I knew) and Loki seemed the best fit.

Probably would have gotten the Mozart clue without have seen the movie, but I saw it so long ago, it becomes a bit chicken and egg.

Saw Close Encounters, which definitely helped.

Certainly know what moccasins are, but in my experience the phrase has referenced shoes.

I think "segment" is an odd word to refer to a giant sculpted head. I'm still trying to figure out if there's another word that would have given it to me without giving it away entirely.

I'm not positive I've ever heard "walk a mile in someone's moccasins," but what else could a soft leather shoe be?

I watched CEot3K for the first time just a couple of months ago. I'm pretty sure I'd have missed that FJ without that.

Matched one of the contestants with "Jupiter Symphony." Though I've seen the film version of "Amadeus," it's been many years.

Got Loki due to the shape-shifting.

Actually heard "don't judge a man until you've walked a mile in his moccasins" with that phrasing from older family members throughout my young life. In fact, it startled me a bit when the Joe South song started playing on the radio; I hadn't heard the phrase with "shoes" until then.

I was one Loki guess away from three consecutive weeks of 5/5.

Not sure why I knew Hamburg--just did. I would have eventually gotten Arachne but it was coming too slowly for me to check the box.

I could have named Sleipnir mainly because I incorrectly made that guess several other times and finally decided to look up what it actually was.

I have seen Amadeus (movie and Broadway, Frank Langella as Salieri) and Close Encounters. I was a teenager when Close Encounters came out; for a few months, it was impossible (for anyone up to the age of 17 or so, I think) to be served mashed potatoes without making a little Devil's Tower replica.

I've heard the saying more often with "shoes" than "moccasins", but I'm pretty sure I've heard it both ways, and I would have gotten it from the clue in any case.

Two for five in FJs, which is my worst record in a long time.

I saw Amadeus about 10 years ago but still didn't get Requiem.

On Tuesday, I was another one fooled into thinking highway. I was torn between Skyline Drive and the Lincoln Highway.

I probably would have gotten Wednesday's if I'd seen it instead of hearing it. My damn video recorder only recorded the audio, so I didn't get the significance of the "cwm" spelling.

Took a few seconds to reject the contemporaneous constructions of the Hoover Dam and Golden Gate Bridge to arrive at something that would logically be dedicated in four parts.

"Cwmdonkin" registered as Dutch/Afrikaans to me rather than Welsh and I spent the whole of think music trying to pull a plausible writer from South Africa, Belgium, or the Netherlands, and came up empty.

Could have named Sleipnir.

Seen both Amadeus and CEotTK.
