With 10 clues about her and her works already in the Archive:

The Mister by Erika Leonard (It's a book.)

Wait, what? Who's that? She is known as E.L. James, the author of the Fifty Shades books.

Looks like 2/3rds of the roof and the spire (which was itself a restoration put in place back in the 1800s) are gone, but most of the vault made it through okay. The towers are at least mostly fine and while the north rose window is confirmed okay, another is likely destroyed. (If it's the south rose window, that'd make it the second time fire took it out as it's also a restoration having gone through a previous fire).
All three rose windows survived, a big portion of the vault collapsed, and I suspect that once they do their final assessments it's going to be determined that the vault stone was sufficiently damaged from the temperatures above that it won't be safe to leave most of the vault in place. (We'll see.) Even while mourning what the fire took, which was considerable, we can all be thankful that the fire did not result in total loss. For my part, I hope some smart decisions will be made in the rebuild, not to try to replicate 12th century construction but to make the cathedral much more disaster-proof than ever before.

Amen to this! Let them marvel at our quaint Titanium alloys and carbon fiber in the 30th century when they rebuild with anti-gravity trebekium alloys!

So glad I've been there twice.

So this particular event likely won't become a clue, but the overarching scandal might now get large enough to warrant a country name drop.

xxaaaxx wrote: Sat Dec 08, 2018 10:20 pm University of Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray wins the 2018 Heisman Trophy. He's the second OU QB in a row to win, after Baker Mayfield last year.

Murray was selected 9th overall by the Oakland Athletics in last summer's MLB draft, and has said all along that he fully intends to quit football and play baseball. I wonder if he'll stick with that if his NFL draft stock rises and some desperate team is willing to take him top 10. That's an extra $10-20M guaranteed, as opposed to the $5M the A's would give him.
And now Kyler Murray becomes the first person to be a first round pick in both the NFL and MLB drafts, going first overall to the Arizona Cardinals.
This is FJ levels of unique.

The Oklahoma Sooners become the first college football team to have their quarterback go #1 overall in the NFL draft in consecutive years. The players in question are, of course, Baker Mayfield (2018) and Kyler Murray (2019).

Granted, neither of them actually started with Oklahoma. And now that they have got Jalen Hurts from Alabama, they could possibly go 3-for-3.

For anyone in the never heard of that dude crowd:

#6825, aired 2014-04-25 BEST DIRECTOR OSCAR NOMINEES $2000: The youngest Best Director nominee was this 24-year-old who directed 1991's "Boyz N the Hood"
#6231, aired 2011-10-24 A "TON" OF PEOPLE $1000: His "Boyz N the Hood" earned him the first-ever best director Oscar nomination for an African American
#5226, aired 2007-05-07 DIRECTOR"S" $2000: A USC grad: "Boyz n the Hood" & "2 Fast 2 Furious"
#4072, aired 2002-04-23 20th CENTURY NAMES $1000: In 1992 he became the first African-American to be nominated for a Best Director Oscar
#3690, aired 2000-09-22 THE DIRECTOR'S CHAIR $400: "Shaft", "Poetic Justice", "Boyz n the Hood"

I had to cut out the search results that turned up painter John Singleton Copley.

Naruhito is now officially the Emperor of Japan, following the abdication of his father, Akihito.

His succession to the Chrysanthemum throne marks the end of the Heisei era and the beginning of the Reiwa era.

Tony Award Nominations 2019: ‘Hadestown’ Leads the Pack

• The new musical “Hadestown” led the Tony nominations Tuesday morning, getting nods in 14 categories

• Best play nominees are “Choir Boy,” “The Ferryman,” “Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus,” “Ink” and “What the Constitution Means to Me.” Read the full list of nominees

Prominently missing among those appearing on Broadway this season: Glenda Jackson for her King Lear and Nathan Lane for the title role of Gary.
Also...and I could see this making it on to Jeopardy! in some form - the sold-out smash To Kill a Mockingbird was not nominated for Best Play.

He played Chewbacca in the original Star Wars trilogy, made a cameo in Revenge of the Sith (Episode III), and filmed some scenes for The Force Awakens (Episode VII). The Finnish actor (and former basketball player) Joonas Suotamo filled in for Mayhew in Episode VII where Chewie needed to be mobile (Mayhew had mobility issues in his later years) and has played him in all subsequent films where Chewie has appeared (Solo: A Star Wars Story and both Episodes VIII and IX).
