Yeah, the travel to get there is the kicker. Tsiolkovsky wasn't joking around with the rocket equation.

A few notable achievements involving last night's Tony Awards:

At age 87, comedy writer/performer/director Elaine May won a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for The Waverly Gallery, becoming the second-oldest actress to win a Tony. The record is held by Cicely Tyson who won for A Trip to Bountiful at the age of 88.

Bob Mackie, who famously designed costumes and gowns for Cher, Carol Burnett, Diana Ross, and Whitney Houston, won a Tony Award for his costumes for the Broadway musical The Cher Show.

Sam Mendes won for directing The Ferryman, becoming only the fifth director to have won both an Oscar and a Tony for directing. The others are Bob Fosse, Elia Kazan, Jerome Robbins, and Mike Nichols. Mendes won his Oscar for directing American Beauty.

Ali Stroker won a Tony for playing Ado Annie in a wheelchair in a revival of Oklahoma!. Stroker is the first disabled performer to even be nominated for a Tony.

Looks like no one has won a Tony AND an Oscar for directing the same thing, if my research is right.

Ali Stroker is the first performer who uses a wheelchair to be nominated. Phyllis Frelich, a deaf actress, won the Tony Award in 1980, for Children of a Lesser God, and Lauren Ridloff, a deaf actress, was nominated in 2018, for the revival of the same play.

I hate to see the evening sun go down, but there's cheering in St Louis town as the Blues finally win the Stanley Cup for the first time in the franchise's 50 season history.

The Toronto Raptors win the 2019 NBA Championship over the Golden State Warriors 4 games to 2.

This is the first championship for the franchise, and the first title for a Canadian team in one of the Big 4 sports leagues (NBA, NHL, MLB, NFL) since the Toronto Blue Jays won the World Series in October 1993. (The last Canadian team team to win the Stanley Cup in the NHL was the Montreal Canadiens in June 1993. There are no Canadian NFL teams.)
Not many people can say they've lost four times on Jeopardy!.

With the Raptors' win yesterday, Pau and Marc Gasol become the first brothers to have both won the NBA championship. Marc is on the Raptors and Pau (currently with the Bucks) won two titles with the Lakers in 2009 and 2010.
