TD 410 - Iowa (Final results)
This TD is called "Iowa" - with the first ten questions based on people who was born there and the other questions also connected to the state. It also features 3 rounds of bonus questions.
Rules/Notes
1) Lowest point total wins; your score for each question is equal to the total number of players submitting that same answer
2) You may use one drop and take zero points for that question
3) You may elect to take the sheep answer for one question
4) There is no bonus for not using the "drop" or "sheep", so you probably want to take the former and get a zero for one question
5) Wrong responses are the "sheep" answer +4
6) Letter preferred = If your response is among the right answers for a particular question yet does not include a letter or has the wrong letter, it will be judged as correct with a +2 "penalty" added to your total.
7) All answers are due by 8 AM Central time on Tuesday, January 15, 2019
8) Submit answers via this Google form or PM

Re: TD 410 - Iowa (Q1-Q6 revealed)
Did you mean 1997 for the Aaliyah song? That's what the Wikipedia article would indicate at least. Especially since she died in 2001 ...
I mean, I didn't know it when I was filling out my answer sheet, so it's not like it affected me.

Re: TD 410 - Iowa (Q1-Q9 revealed)
After that seven sheep in a row for me in the last TD, my sheep streak in this one ends at four with my Reagan answer. (I guess it wouldn't have gone past five since I dropped Q10)

Wow, off to a great start so far. Slightly worried about my answers for tomorrow, and you never know how the bonuses will fall. Better enjoy the lead while it lasts! Looking forward to the climax of this TD!

Counting Cook Islands as an independent nation? That area is a little murky, so dealer's choice, really.

Dang. Never have seen an episode of "Survivor" and am only vaguely aware of its existence. Should have dropped it instead of going with what turned out to be fanfic my daughter used to follow and talk about.
I'm not the defending Jeopardy! champion. But I have played one on TV.

Yeah, "location" probably would have been a better word to use than "country".
Although, according to Wikipedia...
The Cook Islands is a self-governing island country in the South Pacific Ocean in free association with New Zealand.

Re: TD 410 - Iowa (Q1-Q9 revealed)
I am reluctant to make a request to add extra work for the writers of these TD's, but I think it would be cool for the rankings to include a "Mendoza line", showing where the all sheep answers would rank. It give us bottom dwellers something to strive for

Done. I have added an "ALL SHEEP LINE" to the standings.twelvefootboy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 7:15 pm I am reluctant to make a request to add extra work for the writers of these TD's, but I think it would be cool for the rankings to include a "Mendoza line", showing where the all sheep answers would rank.
