Boy, crappy week. Louis Leakey on Monday. Wednesday was a head-slapper in retrospect--I watched the first few seasons of The Sopranos in first-run on HBO. Thursday "wharves" made me think of San Francisco; my brain tried to say "but...but the Statue of Liberty" but I wouldn't listen and said the Golden Gate Bridge. Absolutely no clue on Friday.

M: No pathway to guess Stevenson. Considered Darwin first but decided Burns was more Pavlov'y to use for a WAG.

T: If we give the embargo of Cuba a little more time, I'm sure they will come around. It's only 60 years or so.

W: Good clue, no chance for me though. No HBO and I don't watch crime porn. Opera porn, maybe...

Th: I thought this was a lame clue but how many angles can you pin to the Lady in the Harbor?

F: Surprised this is difficult. I assumed Freud hung out with all the VIPS and celebs of his time based on how Hollywood always gets him in as a cameo on time travel stories, etc.. I had no problem with his MD status, and never gave a thought to Einstein although that could be cromulent.

NHO "The Birds" but am constantly amazed at how we know about crap and everyday living from 2000+ years ago.

Easyget of El Dorado somehow. Westerns maybe?
Only know of Bela Bartok as a name that reminds me of Bela Abzug and her fine hats.

Missed the actual show, but am in awe of all the B names in the game thread. My WAG would have been Berlioz because Brahms is dead and probably not Hungarian.

For what it's worth, I mostly know El Dorado because of that animated movie from a while back.

It is done. I don't know if this is my first superfecto, but if I've ever had one, it's been a long, long time. Yay for Freud.
