Did not realize The Seven Year Itch had been a play, which sent me in the wrong direction and I guessed Hay Fever, which was about 50 years too early. Never saw the movie.

To quote a certain user on here, "Bupkis".

Although I didn't play Monday's. So I guess technically I am 0/4. But I checked that box anyway.

Many other nights I would have gotten Pitcairn, but "did not know" it Wed night... Don't think I would have remembered Regis and the WWTBAM phenomenon any night...
Utrecht came out of me but I knew the right response immediately after... Another blank on the meat...
I'm not sure if I got through the whole of 7 Year Itch...except for Marilyn, it's pretty bad...

Ryan Seacrest was all I could come up with yesterday, although I was pretty sure American Idol was later than 2000. I also got stuck on the idea that the "syndicated talk show" was a radio show.

I went with Jerry Springer, FDR, and Easter Island on their days.

This is my fourth 5+ streak since December 5. (Final) Jeopardy must be getting easier because I'm not really getting smarter.
Through December 5: 25/53
Since: 28/32
Hmm.

Probst. I didn't like it (was pretty sure the talk part was wrong), but couldn't come up with someone better.

Have not seen The Seven Year Itch.

Second 5/5 week in a row and an overall streak of 12, which is possibly my longest streak ever.

I've heard of chateaubriand before, but there was no way I was going to drudge that up in time.

Never seen any version of The Seven Year Itch.

All four gets this week were sussed out from the clue TOM. The only one I felt sure about was the Banksy one. That is excellent clue construction, although Christian -> Bounty -> Pitcairn is kindof YEKIOYD.

I was too lazy to extract FDR's predecessor and was fooled by the prose into thinking it was Rooseveltian caliber. Everybody talked above 6th grade level back then, unlike today's POTUS. The content of the clue was obviously "You are screwed", obviously not FDR. A gettable perfecto gone away, even though I got a TV clue and a contemporary art one.

Chateaubriand I know, just because I haven't forgot it yet to make room for somthing else.

Regis Philbin never entered my mind, and wouldn't have if I had had 30 days instead of 30 seconds. WAGged Bill O'Reilly just to put something down.

Probably should have gotten Longfellow, but for some reason I always place him about 50-75 years too early in the history timeline. I tend to think of him, Hawthorne, and James Fenimore Cooper as 18th century notables instead of 19th. They just seem so much older than Poe or Melville. Since it feels so true that they were born around 1750, can I claim it as an alternative fact?
I'm not the defending Jeopardy! champion. But I have played one on TV.

Wasn’t getting Regis under any circumstances. Hated Millionare, never ever watch daytime talk shows. Frankly, the only thing I ever watched Regis Philbin in was a funny-for-a-little-while late-night mad-obstacle-course show called Almost Anything Goes in the mid-70s, and I had never heard of him prior to that.
