Movie (and the like) Quiz -- General-purpose time-waster

Post by RandyG »

In the absence of a new TD or other quizzes happening here over the next few days...

Name a film -- defined broadly to include theatrical and streaming releases, mini- and ongoing- TV/streaming series, foreign, oldies or newies, etc. -- whose title is exactly and only the full name (at least first+last) of a character within the opus.

As examples, the theatrical release Michael Clayton and TV mini-series John Adams. Who Framed Roger Rabbit would not qualify, as the title only contains the character's name, nor would the first-name-only biopic Ray. Offhand, I don't know of any answers where the title character doesn't physically appear, but those would be ok as well... and interesting too.

No need to spoiler your replies and try not to repeat answers already posted. I'll check in from time to time to update a master list. If you want to include some additional info on the work (approx. year, venue, principals, etc.), then go on and knock yourself out.

If those are OK, then you're got Mulan, Bambi, Peter Pan, Robin Hood, Pocahontas, Hercules, etc. I like the original concept of first and last name.

Quite true. How about we create a sub-category of characters with only one name? I'll guess that the strictly first+last name ones will be generally harder to come up with. The one-name-only characters might almost exclusively be in the fantasy/animation areas, which we can probably list rapid fire.

Abraham Lincoln (demonstrates why D.W. Griffith should have quit the business when talkies came about.)
Charlotte Gray
