Not a good week for me.

Tuesday - Chechnya
Thursday - Green Lantern
Friday - Henry, James, and I don't remember the third. Either George or William.

Clammed Monday, Siberia Tuesday, no guess on the other two.

Somehow twigged to "Finch" from "bird".

In later times on the old board, I'd center the smileys on an occasion like this so the symmetries could line up.

I said Chechnya and thought about Crimea but didn't change to it. I couldn't think of any avian named characters besides Jonathan Livingston Seagull, and I knew that first name is from the Bible. I got that "C. King" was an important clue, but I was stuck on "seeking" or characters beginning with C.

Thanks to Person of Interest, bird surnames put Finch immediately in my mind.
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

James is intimidating even playing at home... Not that that's an excuse for missing these FJs, and I lucked out on the extras...
Stuck on Ukraine Tues - I knew that wasn't the territory but just blanked on the name
Nowhere closer than Ichabod Crane on Wed. Never knew what Attic Greece meant...
Thought about Clark Kent and see-king on Thurs - Is Diogenes a superhero?? - but not getting anywhere near the right response.

Got stuck on”Acropolis”; should have switched to figuring out the bird surname.
Knew Jeff Koons at one point but wasn’t dragging it out of my brain this week.

D-Day Monday

If I could have remembered Attica, Wednesday would be an instaget, but had a mental block on anything beyond the A. Went with Artemis Fowl (glad to see I wasn’t the only one)

I'm relieved that I'm not the only person who said Crimea. Chechnya

I've largely stopped paying attention to current events altogether since Trump got elected, just for my own sanity.

For the first time, I finally got to click the box of glory!

And I have my record streak of 9 in a row going, which will unfortunately end on Monday (the Monday episode is somehow already up online).
