Unfortunately for me, the video game magazine GamePro published special side issues titled "S.W.A.T." that each laid bare a single game, and it stood for "secret weapons and tactics" there, and somehow at some point I thought it stood for "strategies, weapons, areas, and tactics" in that context. As a result I sometimes think SWAT teams' S stands for "strategic" or "strategies." And indeed that's what happened when I faced that clue.

The word "resort" on Friday made me think of hotels, and I had a brief detour to Comfort Inn, with its sun logo. But then I read the clue more carefully, and I briefly thought of Sundance before remembering that's in Utah. Then I recalled Sun Valley, which is also the name of an area not far from me in LA's San Fernando Valley, which causes me to have to stop and think when I read references to Idaho's place, since our Sun Valley is flat and snowless.

Dreyfus (sigh), The Thin Red Line, no guess

Have not seen Glory
I... took a college class on jazz. I'm sure I heard "Take the 'A' Train" there. I wouldn't recognize it now, but I'm not clicking the "never listened to it" box.
Sun Valley is unfamiliar.
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

Lawrence Welk once introduced that song by saying, "And now here's the band playing 'Take a Train.'"

Does anyone think that answer would have been accepted on Jeopardy!?

While James is good, I went back and looked, and I'm 21/25 over the last five weeks, which is well above my typical get rate. The FJs have been trending much easier lately.

In the now lost first draft of Hamlet, Hamlet tells Ophelia "Get thee to a nunnery." Ophelia asks how she should get there. Hamlet says "take thee a train" :D

Not being American always has its faults when it comes to FJ’s, which are predominantly America centric.

I knew those bones had to do with the hand, but had no idea to which digit.

No guess on the missed ones. "Glory" was unfamiliar.

I knew "Take the 'A' Train" but "Take Five" was blocking all the mental paths even though I knew it was wrong.
