Some of us were talking a while ago about how we stopped getting email notifications when we have a new PM on JBoard. Well, I just found those notifications in Gmail's SPAM folder.
For anyone interested, here are some instructions on how to tell Gmail to knock it off:
https://www.jotform.com/help/404-How-to ... pam-Folder
These instructions work fine for me in a Chrome or Firefox browser on a Windows 7 PC. I can't say for sure how they will or won't work in the Gmail app on a phone or tablet. (If they don't work, you may be able to access Gmail at gmail.com via your phone/tablet's browser and make the change that way.
Your PM notifications are in the SPAM folder!

I get a lot of PMs from managing the TD queue, yet I too haven't gotten a PM notification via email for a very long time. I don't have Gmail on my JBoard profile and I check my spam folder quite regularly.
. . . . . . . .
Evidently we're not alone in this. https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=2470891
Admins, will this suggested fix work? Set email package size to 0 in ACP/Email settings

Send me a PM and I'll let you know whether I get the email notification now that I've applied this fix.RandyG wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 4:11 pmIf only it were that simple.opusthepenguin wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 2:45 pm Some of us were talking a while ago about how we stopped getting email notifications when we have a new PM on JBoard. Re: Your PM notifications are in the SPAM folder!
Current Report: We have had partial success in that I have received email notifications for PMs from RandyG to me. But he did not receive email notifications for my reply PMs.
For anyone following the directions I posted, make sure of two things:
1. When you create the filter, make sure you check the "Never send it to Spam" box.
2. Make sure your JBoard preferences include sending an EMAIL (not just a notification) when you receive a new PM. Click on the arrow next to your user ID and go to User Control Panel > Board Preferences > Edit Notification Options. Check the Email box for "Someone sends you a private message".
