As the disclaimer has already said, this board is created by fans, for fans. The Jeopardy! game show and all elements thereof, including but not limited to copyright and trademark thereto, are the property of Jeopardy Productions, Inc. and are protected under law. This website is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or operated by Jeopardy Productions, Inc. and has nothing whatsoever to do with them. But we do encourage you to watch their fine show. If you think they got something wrong, feel free to write to them, but hopefully you've figured out that we can't do anything about it. If you've found your way here and don't know about it, we also encourage you to visit j-archive.com, which is an amazingly valuable resource.

You are expected to behave here. At the sole discretion of Management, you may be warned about bad behavior. If the behavior continues, or is egregious enough, you will be banned. The e-conversations are freewheeling and I'm a pretty tolerant guy, but harassment (for one thing) definitely will not be tolerated. Please keep in mind the fact that contestants frequently read what is posted here. Anyone who has gotten up there has already accomplished a great deal just to get that far (it isn't easy). You may not like a particular contestant, or how they acted, or answered, or wagered, but that criticism must be given in a civil manner. Also, spamming is right out. Don't even try; it gets caught before it is ever seen by any JBoarders.

Your first three posts must be approved by our fearless and determined moderators. Until you have had three posts approved, thus proving (or at least giving an indication) that you are not trying to sell us the latest illegally-obtained drug or are engaged in other malfeasance, you will not be able create a new topic or send or receive PM's. If I'm pretty convinced that you are a legitimate poster, there is a good chance I will go ahead and make you a regular user instead of a newly-registered one, thus saving the moderators time and effort to waste with real spammers.

As with any forum, if you're new here, take time to check the place out and get a feel for it. It will help you blend in better. While JBoarders are generally a friendly bunch, they're also a very sharp group of people. As a result, they sometimes get a little, um, testy when newcomers arrive with a particular attitude. So think before posting if you are new to the forum.

You found a mistake in one of the clues on the show? Awesome! Two problems, however. We've found that most first-time posters who want to share a mistake with us either didn't read the question properly, misinterpreted the clue, or were just wrong about the clue being in error. So please try to make sure you were right before posting. We've gotten enough of these that JBoarders' tolerance of these posts is pretty low. And the odds are someone here has already identified it as well. Secondly, the likelihood of someone official from the show seeing your correction is extremely low. Sorry.

If you would like to have a "Rank", i.e., the description that is under your user name when you post (e.g., "Jeopardy Contestant") please find and post in the thread called "The Rankest Thread Imaginable" or just drop me a line through a PM or email (keeping in mind that you can't PM until after you've made three posts that have been accepted).

We frequently have polls. These polls are public, and your responses can be seen by other JBoard members. If that concerns you, do not vote in the polls. But I will say I have never seen anyone criticize or make fun of how someone voted in a poll. So you don't have to be shy, even if you did miss all five Final Jeopardy clues that week. I think we prefer an honest assessment of your performance.

Please let me know of any problems or questions you may have, enjoy and behave yourself, and welcome aboard!

3/31/12 Update: I've finally installed a good tool to get rid of the literally thousands of accounts that spammers have opened. In my zeal to get rid of them, there is a small chance I will accidentally delete a legitimate user who has never posted (I won't delete any users who have successfully posted). If I do so, I humbly apologize and ask you to register again. I have also upgraded the Captcha software so they hopefully won't be enrolling in the first place. All of this should be invisible to any legitimate users.

7/5/14 Update: I added two tags to allow better handling of both images and video. See this thread for more details:

9/12/15 Update: If you, a user, feel at any time that someone has written something that has made you feel uncomfortable or is harassing in nature, please make sure to let me know. See this thread for more information:
