TD 427 - Crazy Eights (Final results)

Post by clt013 »

I'm back again. While my "free" time has indeed been reduced, I managed to throw this "quick" quiz together and hopefully will be able to avoid dragging out the reveal too far.

There are 8 questions and (unofficially - I'll fall back on "hasty research" as an excuse for any errors :) ) 88 correct answers total so this one is called "Crazy Eights".

Rules/Notes
1) Lowest point total wins; your score for each question is equal to the total number of players submitting that same answer
2) NO DROPS
3) You may elect to take the "sheep" answer for one question
4) Wrong responses are the "sheep" answer +4 (NO ELIMINATIONS)
5) All answers are due by 8:08 AM Central time on Thursday, August 8, 2019
6) Submit answers via this Google form or PM

Questions

1. Name a character who appeared in at least 10 episodes of Seinfeld

2. Name a periodic table element ending in "N"

3. Name a city that has won at least 3 of the "Big 4" (NBA Championship, Stanley Cup, Super Bowl, World Series) titles
[Note: Team may have moved or folded since winning.]

4. Name a state that begins with a vowel

5. Name a Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during the last 50 years

6. Name one of Laura Ingalls Wilder's "original" Little House series books
[Initials include (not limited to): FB (6,3); OTBOPC (2,3,5,2,4,5); TLW (3,4,6); THGY (5,5,6,5)]

7. Name a Paula Abdul song that reached the Billboard Top 10
[Initials include (not limited to): SU (8,2); CH (4,7); OA (9,7); RR (4,4)]

8. Name one of the tennis Grand Slam (Major) tournaments

Thanks for putting this together.

For number 5 there is an error on the form. It says "Must be a number."
I had a dream that I was asleep and then I woke up and Jeopardy! was on.

Yeah - sorry for the error (I had lots of trouble getting the form to work and obviously failed to check #5).

It has been corrected.

Thanks for stepping up.

I meant to sheep one of the questions but I might have put "drop" by mistake, I can't remember. I did mean sheep though.

I think Kenny Bania would have worked for question 1 but I couldn’t remember the name and decided not to go with “ovaltine guy”

The source I used shows Bania with appearances in 7 episodes, so he didn't quite qualify.

To explain: I'm not into Seinfeld but I read somewhere that Superman was in every episode, and figured he is a character. Turns out he's referenced but not actually in episodes.
