Ooof -- two wrongs in row, one due to going a few years too early on British PMs and other due to a silly oversight. Wonder if anyone's score has ever exceeded the all-sheep line. I could be on my way to being the first.clt013 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 8:58 am WRONG ANSWERS = 11

I knew either one would be a singleton, but wasn't sure if they were just manuscripts or the publisher changed the title for the US version . Apparently her Noir fiction attempts weren't commercialized, including her underappreciated "Drop" novella that AFRET was referring to .squarekara wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 1:59 pm

Thanks clt013 as usual, and the all-sheep line is still an aspirational goal for us bottom dwellers. I personally like a TD where the winning score is in the 30's. Way to go, Arkansas, Straight Up, and Roland Garros!

And speaking of hosts, gracious and otherwise--some early LIW manuscripts contain a fictionalized account of serial killers who ran a roadhouse where not every guest makes it to the continental breakfast buffet, and Pa Ingalls becomes directly involved in the action. "The Benders of Kansas" is reprinted as an appendix in the LIW Pioneer Girl compendium, and back in the day it would've left me clutching my Holly Hobbie doll in wide-eyed terror.

Re: TD 427 - Crazy Eights (Final results)
It doesn't look like anyone is signed up for next week (8/19) unless I am missing something?
I have one that can be ready to go by Tuesday morning (or possibly Monday afternoon) if nobody else is able/willing to host.

Re: TD 427 - Crazy Eights (Final results)
I'll step up and take next week - I've had one in the works for a while, but this could serve as motivation to finally get it finished up.
Besides, this will be my last best chance to host before school starts back up.
