Elah though have come across Gath previously without recalling it on Monday
Definitely have seen
The Ed Sullivan Show and even though four months old may have still been awake for The Beatles episode. My parents do not recall that or whether they watched it either although that was typical Sunday night viewing back then.
Wrote "Wonderful" as part of my Wednesday response.
No for inside just about any museum other than some in S.F. and Oakland.
Yup, 80% the hard way after beginning 0/1.
Note: For those of you new around here the poll will be posted right around 4:50ish each Saturday as the clock nears 5 p.m. my time in the Pacific time zone.
If you are correct on each of the five FJ clues then you get to hit the option with the 5 Mr. Greens.
There will be three extra clues that I choose because:
I think the material is good to know since it comes up often.
Someone requests a clue.
I'm curious how many missed or correctly answered a clue.
Sometimes a clue in the FJ! round will have an incorrect response that many others seemed to have and that will be a voting option as well.
If you make a mistake in voting in forgetting to check something or hitting something you should not have hit then you can just select your choices again in re-voting to correct the error without messing up the results. It won't count as a second vote.

Goliath, no answer
Gath was totally unfamliar.
I've seen the clip of The Beatles singing "I Want to Hold Your Hand" (and The Doors "Light My Fire"), but never a full episode of
The Ed Sullivan Show.
I included "Wonderful."
I have been to the Air & Space Museum.

Ed Sullivan was always on Sunday nights in my house but no memory of seeing the Beatles remains...
Well, only two of them are dead so far and there's no particular reason you should've seen the bodies, right? Oh, wait. You didn't have an apostrophe at the end of Beatles. Never mind.

The trivia lesson of the day: Kay Thompson wrote about Eloise who lived in the Plaza Hotel.
It came up on two different GSN shows today and the success rate could have been better.
Remembered this post from a month ago. Do you think I could remember the hotel today? Nope.
Funky coincidence though.

NHO Gath. It's an awesome place name.
The rest were high confidence answers, except 2016 was a lock.
I know the McArthur quote as "Old soldiers never die, they just fade away".
I've seen the "really big shew" as a child, mostly just remember Chinese acrobats and a bunch of silly plate spinning. I don't think our TV was on religiously, and there was no appointment television except my Mom watching Perry Mason spank Hamilton Burger every afternoon.
I've been to the Air and Space Museum, I think shortly after a new facility in the mid 1970's.
Thanks, Mark for the primer to start the season. Also for the first game thread, it helped put the pieces in place. I still don't know if FJguy is your secret identity, lol, I can't even tell Clark Kent is Superman because of the eyeglasses. Thanks for your remarkable discipline and reliability.

Goliath-Ville on Monday because I had nothing. However, once the correct response was revealed, it rang a bell - like, I had definitely heard of the place-name Gath before.
I didn't exist yet in Feb. 1964. I've never seen an episode of the
Ed Sullivan Show.
No "Wonderful" in my
Wizard of Oz response.
I've been in the Air and Space Museum.

I know the McArthur quote as "Old soldiers never die, they just fade away".
He spoke both phrases. First he quoted the old barracks ballad, then announced his plan to emulate its hero.
A good start. I was far from sure about Monday's, but I remembered the phrase "tell it not in Gath" and associated it with the Philistines.
Have seen bits of Ed Sullivan, of course, on youtube and television (and his bust in the Ed Sullivan room of the Friar's Club), but never sat through a whole show that I recall. It seems like the kind of thing that might have been on at my grandmother's house, but maybe we went there on Saturday not Sunday.
Was assigned "Their Eyes Were Watching God", but I always found it a lot to have to read entire novels for the sake of a class. I read "Eloise" quite recently for the sake of catching up.
Included "Wonderful", haven't been to the museum.
