The contestants really sleepwalked through this game. Jessica came out on top of an otherwise even game by avoiding negs, and now she is a J! champion forever, but I would be surprised if she wins a second game.

Adding a set of architects to my Leitner box a week or two ago netted me the Zaha Hadid (first woman to win the Pritzker, BTW) LT. Yay for new knowledge! Then again, I wasn't sure enough to ring in on Self-Reliance and I NHO an anti-quark, so there's still plenty of index cards to be studied.

It was subtle, but exercise program that strengthens the core + inner peace = yoga.

I put this in my show notes, but you beat me to it. The supposed video game manual photos for this one are extremely well done. Whoever came up with this hoax put a lot of effort into it.

I legitimately can't tell if you're trolling anymore...
Spoiler
If second gets it right and she gets it wrong, she loses no matter what, but she can still lock in second by betting 1201-4799 which maintains a win on a get.

Not trolling; I apparently wasn't paying attention.

Don't you mean Lincoln? FDR only changed the date. Knowing that Lincoln made it a holiday is the only reason I hesitated on this one, but I figured proclamation ≠ holiday...

I think you've made a lot of people on this board feel very old.

For those, like you, who are unaware of the existence of these 1970s educational shorts (which ran, off and on, on the ABC network on Saturday mornings into the 2000s):

another thing we've lost to the left. Schoolhouse Rock could never get made today .

I've tried yoga a couple of times at Corepower, so that was an easy get for me just from the name. And "swoosh" should be a pavlov for Nike.

FJ was a tossup between prayer and thanksgiving for me. I had a recollection that Thanksgiving is associated with Lincoln, so my coin landed on the wrong side.

I don't think it was a legal federal holiday until the act of Congress during the FDR administration, but I may be wrong about that. You are certainly right that Lincoln unified the states in more ways than one. (I'm surprised we didn't have to fight a second civil war over which day Thanksgiving should be celebrated on.)

You might be making DBear's point. That Simpsons clip was from 1996. It's hard to think of the Simpsons as 31 seasons, making it more than 50% longer than Gunsmoke, 25 years longer than the first "Star Wars" trilogy. 4x as long as the Beatles were together and 8 years longer than Elvis Presley's entire career.

Still not seeing how the left would prevent Schoolhouse Rock from getting made today. The death of Saturday morning cartoons is why it isn’t happening now.

As recently as 2009, there was a direct-to-video release of new Schoolhouse Rock! episodes, including one about global warming. Jeopardy! once themed a whole board around Schoolhouse Rock! (Show #4675). As was noted in the 2018 Current Events thread, the creator of Schoolhouse Rock!, Bob Dorough, died last year. Vulture.com published a useful ranking of the episodes to which Dorough contributed.
