The game of recognize the audience member was easier today:
Spoiler
Image
Elise's chat indicated she would be ready for an extended run wardrobe-wise as she collects vintage dresses from the '60s & '70s.

Four clues left today to turn back the clock to the beginning of the season. :(

Elise had defeated four men in her two wins. There will not be double males tomorrow.

It's always an, "Oh!" moment when I solve a clue and am ready to ring in when suddenly a video portions begins such as the "24K Magic" clue.

The FJ! clue had comfortable at home with no studio pressure to write "Harrison" for someone of the era, switch to thinking of Civil War heroes and change to the right name with time to spare. Even if I had missed it I would still like the clue. It is wide open for incorrect responses with a bevy of names that could occur to someone.

Very nice title defense by Elise to cruise to the repeat. We now know how she handles a J! round DD with her 4200+1200 bet.

Thanks to my strength of being able to recall random bits of trivia in American History, I got this triple stumper FJ.

Elise truly is looking promising. 3 more wins and we'll finally have our 4th TOC candidate!

Alex's opening with Austin and then the hands was fun enough that I decided to save that portion of it on my computer. Here it is although I did have the CC enabled to help with archiving later.

Spoiler
Hmm, what Civil War heroes do I know? Grant, Sherman.
Grant had already been been president earlier, so...
Surprised it was a triple stumper.

Re FJ:
Spoiler
Sherman is famous for saying, "If drafted, I will not run. If nominated, I will not accept. If elected, I will not serve." Or words to that effect - I did a search, and there are multiple variants of those sentiments attributed to Sherman.

For the one clue, I spent so long trying to remember Lot's wife's name that I didn't remember her name wasn't known .

You can pack a lot of those kicky print dresses into an average carry-on bag. I'd love to see the rest of the collection, so go, Elise!

Coryat: $36,000 (46R, 1W)
DD: 2/3
FJ:
LT: Lot’s wife (DD)

I fell into the scalene trap  Shouldn’t have even answered, it had nothing to do with the hints in the clue, but oh well.

Very pleased with the FJ get, Civil War is not normally a strong area for me but was able to connect W.T. Sherman to the Sherman Act and thought it was as good a guess as any.

Elise reminds me a lot of Julia Collins - quick buzzer, wide breadth of knowledge and very risk-averse.

Came up with the right answer on FJ tentatively after about 10 seconds from the "Civil War hero" angle. Remembering a certain anti-trust act (which passed in 1890 and was indeed named for brother John) confirmed it for me.
Not many people can say they've lost four times on Jeopardy!.

I gave myself credit for "obtuse triangle." It starts with O and has no right angles, and it's a real term.
A rare episode where I went 0/4 on the big clues, but a $33,800 Coryat and 40 R sort of made up for it.
Tomorrow, all three contestants will be LLamas (a rarity), but it gets stranger... two were referred by the same boardie and one by a contestant on that episode.
Hoping for a third lap

I said "Lot's wife?" just to say something, and it worked out for me.

OK, math is a strong suit, & I've never heard of an oblique triangle. Such a triangle was always refered as scalene.

Absolute instaget of a FJ.

C'mon, Bible, couldn't you give Lot's wife a name?

Grilled cheese gets paired with tomato soup, huh? I'm not a fan of either food, so this was utterly unfamiliar to me. Odd when $200 is my only miss in a category.

All but "cupholder" in "Hold" it.

FINALLY remembered Montgomery for bus boycott.

No guess on FJ!

Lach Trash: oblique triangle. Also got the "Lot's Wife" DD.

The dividend clue reminds me that I've not heard the term "quotient" since my second attempt at fifth grade  . I've never understood the need to teach kids math vocabulary just for the sake of it. The associative law, really?

I am ready for "quotient" to pop up in LL, to balance the pine nuts clue in the last LL that foreshadowed today's clue. I'm sure I was the only person in my rundle to miss that one.

Elise plays DD's and FJ's like they are real money. Risk a little to win a little but don't risk the farm. Hope she can make a sustained run.

Thought for a few seconds on FJ, remembered WT Sherman’s famous “if nominated I will not run; if elected, I will not serve” line, figured it was a good TOM, and went with it. Also got the “Lot’s wife” DD trash.
