E-sports? (Granted, I pay very little attention to e-sports, so I have no idea how many women actually compete.)

"Tease out metric". It's not really a metric or "measure of" something, though, so it's a bit of a misnomer. For example:

Clue: The title of this musical that opened on Broadway in 1964 was inspired by a Marc Chagall painting

You might know it off the bat, but if not, you're supposed to think, "Chagall. Russian and Jewish. What (presumably famous) 1964 Broadway play is about Jewish people in Russia that could have a title that's painted?"
My headcanon is that the M stands for “material”.
