AWiT book a long time favorite of mine. Contrary to the poll, and similar to Starship Troopers, there is no movie of A Wrinkle in Time; whatever might purport to be so is some other thing entirely :?

I read A Wrinkle in Time in 4th grade but recall nothing from it.

Acts of the Apostles, UK, Where the WIld Things Are, San Jose

If you'd told me a clue about the British Royal Family would save me from the Box of Shame...

I said "What is 'Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue'?" so I clicked both boxes.

Have not seen/read A Wrinkle in Time.
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

I'm 5/5 if I actually think "easternmost." I was probably influenced by the first ToC's last FJ, which sought the westernmost national capital in the Americas.

I might have imaginarily rung in with Cortez, I don't recall. I was just beginning to realize that I've heard of a "Balboa Park" in San Diego when time was up.

I have certainly attempted to read A Wrinkle in Time at least once; I can't recall whether I ever was successful, so I didn't check the box.

I also checked both "something" boxes.

Yes, ya'll know the drill checking boxes as relevant to your performance so nice to see the total for the "something" boxes above the voters total as that clue lent itself to those of us having both parts.

Ha! I remember when the movie Starship Troopers came out. The suggested blurb was "Based on the back cover of a book by Robert Heinlein". But at least with Starship Troopers it was possible in theory to make a good movie from the material. With A Wrinkle in Time I just can't imagine any film adaptation turning out well. Some works of art translate well to other media. Some should be left alone. (And of course Starship Troopers isn't even a work of art. That can help immensely when translating something from book to screen.)

Not a good week, for a variety of silly reasons. Did OK with Exodus and A Wrinkle in Time (read the book when it was still on the bestseller list).

Went WAY afield with Devon Island -- even though I spent two consecutive summers working on northern Canadian islands many moons ago. Spent summer of '86 at Cambridge Bay on Victoria Island, and summer of '87 at Cape Dyer on Baffin Island.

Focused on WESTern hemisphere in the category, and spaced out EASTernmost capital - and still missed it with Tegucigalpa. Which was still wrong even for the way I read it, since there are three capitals further west. And we were in Panama City less than a year ago. Oy.

Like many, forgot or didn't know about the Phillip/Romanov connection, and went with Charles, thinking QEII may not have wanted to submit a DNA sample.

Had to check two boxes for the rhyme -- said all four of the preceding items out loud.
I'm not the defending Jeopardy! champion. But I have played one on TV.

Not surprising that I missed the 2 map-based clues of the week. Can I swap out the 2 GOAT FJs of the week for these??... ;) - remembering Phillip should have been easier...
I always mix up Rolfe and Smith...
I completely identified with Charles Wallace in A Wrinkle in Time, so the book terrified me...if you wonder why, you should read it!

I didn't imagine anyone else said "The Little Prince" instead of "A Wrinkle in Time." I feel (slightly) less stupid now.

Said England on Tuesday, because somewhere in the back of my mind said there was a place called Devon in England. Said Zathura on Wednesday.

Said Belmopan initially, then at the very last second of the music realized it said easternmost and not westernmost.
