How they have a group of "Master Minds" on the show but didn't figure out out to fix the final round until season 2 is beyond me, but I'm glad they did it. Maybe they just were worried that they'd have boring contestants, so they needed filler instead of interviews.

Oh, yeah, that's the other thing that bugs me ... at least hold the interviews after the first round so all 3 get to participate. I mean, you made it to the show, they might as well read your story, and 3 of those don't take much longer than 2.

Nope, full 7 for round 1 as the leader had 600 and missed the pizza. Normal five in the next round for no shortcuts on material.

That was my thought after tonight's game as I expected one after ten shows. Perhaps GSN is showing in order? The taping pool did not expand from last season and the better players already competed? Players capable of winning said no thank you to taping during these pandemic times? My guess is the number of $10K winning shows is fewer than 9 and they have to be spread out more.

Let's say 5/65 episodes for one out of 13, so we'll see one next week. My schedule shows new eps. 12/21-23 though not on CE or CD. It's the same the following week with no new eps. on NYE or NYD.

Weird first round with a Master Mind not being able to match Evita to a country with multiple choice and two regulars did not know the galvanizing metal.

On the basketball court I have missed gimme layups. It was nice to see there was no problem to kiss one off the backboard for the last Q of the show.

Weird little quirk in my guide data - I'm pretty sure they called yesterday's show season 2 episode 11, and tomorrow's show episode 13, with today's episode being labelled "season 1 episode 0". Normally, that wouldn't faze me, as maybe they taped today's episode as a "test pilot" reboot with the new COVID guidelines and (slightly) altered final round format. And, while the show is technically serialized like J! because of the potential for defending champions, they're rare enough that they can scramble the episodes.

But....he won, which means continuity-wise, he has to come back "tomorrow". What's up with the episode numbering? My best guess would be that the contestant in the pilot DID win, and they just brought him back literally the next day, if they only taped the one pilot episode as a test run. And maybe he wasn't available the next taping day, so they had him come back later in the week.

My best guess is that the guide data got screwed up somewhere along the line, which is the Occam's Razor explanation.
