10/10 for the tournament.
I was trying to name all three before I rolled the dice, and only got Athos and Porthos before running out of time.
I did not know the equator doesn't pass through Equatorial Guinea.
No guess on the tree.
Pink.
And as I said in the game thread, I considered Lincoln but dismissed it.
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

Swept the FJs for the tourney

Cherubim would've been a DD get and probably a LL get (I figured it followed the same rules as cherub but not confident)

Got yew, mostly because it didn't look like a fir. (Would've stayed clam if not for the 3-letter hint)
Clammed on Halsey
The best thing that Neil Armstrong ever did, was to let us all imagine we were him.

----:(  ----

I actually thought of Cleveland, Ohio, but I couldn't recall any famous Cleves other than Anne of. So, Springfield.

Then Coriolanus because I remembered one of its themes being the fickleness of public favor, which seemed to go with deposed dukes. The time frame is off a bit, but artistic license, maybe, I thought.

I didn't read the yew clue carefully. I would have needed a longbow reference to get it, but maybe I'd at least have laid off fir on a good day.

Porthos because he is portly. NHO Halsey. We're so sorry.
I'm smart and I want respect.

Color me shocked that the Tempest polled so low. I thought if it was easy for me, it must be easy for most boardies. Shakespeare ain't my forté...

Jefferson City instead of Cleveland (I don’t think of Cleveland as Midwest)

I still say Cleveland is not in the Midwest & you're not convincing me otherwise.
:|  a 1 in 3 chance on the Musketeers? Nope.
12/15 on the DDs.
Had yew, NFI on the singer

Got yew correct.
Remarked she resembled Pink, but clearly wasn't her, and had no guess.
Said Jefferson City, but would've easily switched to Cleveland if I'd thought of it.

8/10 for tournament as a whole, and have gone at least 3/5 on final for 8 straight weeks.

These battles are usually easy to learn, as the ones they'd ask on J! are pretty much limited to 2 or 3. There's Bull Run/Manassas, Antietam/Sharpsburg, and maybe Shiloh/Pittsburg Landing.
