March Madness

I have created a group on ESPN, if anyone is interested (brackets announced tomorrow, then you have two days to make your picks):

Actually, you have until roughly 11:59AM Eastern on Thursday to make picks. ESPN's bracket game doesn't require you to make picks for the "First Four".

Banana peels. Dirty napkins. Chicken bones. Junk mail. Apple cores.

In my house, apple cores are not trash, they are supplemental rabbit food!

I eat the whole apple...the core, stem, seeds, everything.

WTG Lisa! And my apologies to Pekron 1-- since I'm not playing, he's in last place.

I had Belmont up until an hour before tipoffs yesterday morning. By then I had heard so much about the possible upset I figured Georgetown might be a better bet to gain a game. My problem was having SDSU on the other part to go to 16. Having UNLV go to 8 is even costlier.

Then of course there's that Norfolk team trying to be shredders.

Hoya saxa! (no, I didn't go to Gtown, I just lived right next to campus for several years)

... and go Colorado! ... and Michigan! (might as well throw my kids in there)

Shredded.

Granted, that probably affects -- literally -- 98% of all brackets. Lisa's more than the rest of us, though.

Yay ... my Gators get them next ...

98.8, actually (click on who picked whom, a phrasing which I'm sure will gladden the hearts of 98% of Jeopardy! fans). Mine too.

NORFOLK STATE!? Really?!? Well, at least my Elite 8 is still intact, but my Sweet 16 is starting to turn a worrisome shade of red...

And... it was nice playing with everyone.

If anyone wanted to know why I put my money on the wonderteam that is Mizzou, I applied for a job with them the same day they won the big 12. Was hoping it was a sign that I should stick with them both professionally and personally. That clearly went well.

There are now only two perfect brackets left in the ESPN bracket contest. Neither one is mine.

As I said on my FB post, my bracket is busted, but it was worth it for that game. I'm hoping Lehigh can pull off a similar win over Duke.

Now with Saint Louis finishing off Memphis that number has become zero.
