I don't think KGO bothered to show Jeopardy at all on Wednesday... The 3am time you have listed was something called "Tamron Hall", according to DirecTV.

Same thing is listed tonight.

Thanks for noting. As I said, tonight’s Jeopardy! will air on KGO tomorrow at 9:30 PM Pacific.

I recorded a bunch of stuff in the a.m. and after the Kelly & Ryan rerun J! came on even though the guide did have Tamron Hall. I can verify it did air. Same tonight I'm recording a bunch of time slots on ABC. It's shame the knuckleheads working there did not have the courtesy to at least run a crawl at 7.

Here's something to look out for: The New England Patriots at Kansas City Chiefs game that was supposed to be played Sunday (today) at 4:30 PM was postponed yesterday because of NE QB Cam Newton's positive COVID-19 test. Barring any additional cases, the game is set to take place on Monday at 7 PM, to be aired on CBS.

https://nesn.com/2020/10/patriots-chief ... day-night/

WBZ Boston, the CBS affiliate, of course shows J! at 7:30. In the past, particularly when pre-season Patriots games have interrupted CBS primetime programming, it's been shown on sister station WSBK (channel 38). Who knows if/when Monday's episode of J! will air. It would make sense to move the 7-10+ PM block to WSBK for Monday - the currunt lineup for those three hours is Big Bang Theory x2, L&O: SVU x2, with a chaser of the WBZ news on WSBK at 10.

Of course, that all depends on if CBS can/will air the NFL game nationally. They probably will - it probably gets better ratings than whatever they planned. If that's the case, then CBS literally has no schedule for 7-10. They may air WoF/J after the game in the 10 PM slot. Who knows.

All I know is I'm getting some herring ready for Opus, just in case.

KGO aired the Friday 10/2 game at 10:30pm on Saturday the 3rd even though the guide had it marked as a rerun from 2/5/20.

The way it is going I would not write these things in ink:

The Denver Broncos at New England Patriots game will be played on Monday, October 12 at 5:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
NOTE: This is not the scheduled MNF game with the Bolts and Saints that will air later that night.

The Buffalo Bills at Tennessee Titans game will be played on Tuesday, October 13 at 7:00 p.m. ET on CBS.

The Pats/Broncos game may have local affiliate coverage in the Boston area and Denver?
**********
While here: Reminder to those in the West that Game 5 of the NBA Finals tonight means J! later than usual.

I imagine WCVB (Boston's ABC affiliate) will simulcast the Broncos at Patriots game at 5 ET, which would chew up 90 minutes of local news, 30 minutes of national news, 30 more minutes of local news, plus 30 minutes of Chronicle, a local newsmagazine.

They frequently simulcast the regular MNF when ESPN broadcasts it, so that it can be shown on a local broadcast network. Usually it's the 8-11 PM time slot, and ABC primetime programming gets shoved to WSBK. WSBK is just syndicated repeats, so they might put some news on there.

I think the general rule of thumb is that ABC affiliates can preempt programming and simulcast ESPN if they're the local team, and that other markets can't butt in. So it would mean Boston and Denver would be preempted - but neither shows J! on ABC - Boston is CBS, and Denver is FOX. There could be some other stations where it matters - but, for example, WPRI Providence which shows J! is also CBS.

The Tuesday CBS game will hit a lot of markets, including Boston, as it's broadcast nationally OTA. Time to fire up locast again and hope they don't butt in with ads.

Because they're the local team, KABC is carrying that Chargers "Monday Night Football" game on Monday, October 12. As is their usual practice, J! is going to slide one day back for the rest of the week, with Friday's episode scheduled to air on Saturday at 9:00 P.M.

The Tuesday broadcast (Monday's episode) will air at 10:00 if there's a Game 7 of the NBA finals.
The Thursday broadcast (Wednesday's episode) will air at 10:00 due to what is, at this point, a Biden town hall/Q&A.

Usually, my DirecTV DVR doesn't list the episode numbers correctly in a week like this (and doesn't acknowledge Saturday as a new episode) -- but it does this time. I really think KABC is taking special care with J! right now, while all of the contestants are from their viewing area.

The Patriots/Broncos game moved from 10/12 to 10/18 takes care of that early CBS airing.

The Lakers are in good shape (up 17 with a minute and change to go) to make sure there is no NBA game on Tuesday night.

The Senate stuff for Amy Coney Barrett is on the docket for 9ET each morning 10/12/20 - 10/15 this week, so it may affect early airings of J! for viewers watching live through the various methods. That then will cause delays for updates on The Jeopardy! Fan, Reddit, JBoard and the archive.

In the 21 years I've been living in L.A., this is the first time I've ever seen such a graphic used -- it was actually a three-part graphic to the effect of "Attention Los Angeles Jeopardy! Viewers/Due to Monday Night Football..." From the phrasing, and the design, I suspect J! actually sent a special version of this episode to KABC with this graphic included.

All five days affected in Denver & Cincinnati. Wow.

Thanks for the post.

That would be funny/not funny if J! had Zach back on Nov. 3rd and he lost that day.

Also, the only stations on Election Day (November 3) that will get Jeopardy! at its normal time are stations that air Jeopardy! before 7:00 PM and East Coast FOX stations, as FOX's election coverage doesn't start until 8:00 PM. I will post more info about Election Day preemptions soon, in case they don't list all of the preempted stations on the website.

The confirmation vote is 8ET tonight? No sure who that would affect for J! airing, but I guess it would have to get some stations?
