Alex's opening remarks about Thanksgiving are on J!'s YT page: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPGHAN_Ij58
The gentlemen did not miss many clues and each one got a DD correct on the way for a game 6/6 on wagering clues.
It did not take long to match the guys in the FJ! round although I was not certain on the spelling.
Nice title defense by Ryan and now we know he's willing to bet big on DDs. Yesterday with 200+1000 did not tip his hand yet.

There's a non-zero chance I'd have written "ohm". I wonder if that would be accepted these days?

Happy Thanksgiving as I did not have to wait until the 3:30 CT airing to get the show: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6879
Alex's imitation on "my precious" is scarier than the movie character itself.
Some media clues, but not nearly as bad or as many as I feared.

Archive playthrough:
Coryat $49,600 (55R, 0W)
DD 3/3
FJ
Friendly boards today. Got stumped by a couple movie clues, which is to be expected, and blanked on "Last Dance" even though I have a flashcard for it. NHO Ballers.
Very happy to be seeing 61 clues routinely these days!

Re: excessive bail:. Tell that to Kyle Rittenhouse
Ran Wedding Day, Maine, 5th C Raider, & Big Adjectives.
trash:. Manet, Kennebunkport (how quickly they forget), fetlock, Dog the Bounty Hunter. Relatively clean boards.
on Daily Doubles. Guessed sodium.
FJ:. Precalled were Christian-based, easy clue.

I put down “ohm” and claiming credit.
Alex’s opening message was nice, but bittersweet.

Ran More Than One Meaning and, surprisingly, Art & Artists. Brainfart on "best man" and "Kennebunkport" (how's that for a Hawley-Smoot?), plus "frog" for "fetlock", kept me from 5/5 in those.
I wasn't smarter than a 5th Century Raider, as I had a bagel in that category. Also bombed Bestselling Nonfiction.
"This sacred syllable" -> "om". Super easy.
Lach Trash: Manet

Re: Thursday, November 26, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)
I spent the entirety of FJ! second-guessing myself, trying to find some wordplay amongst the three names that would give the clue, similar to the "What company is on the Oregon/Idaho border" clue that I just saw on Netflix (from Ryan Fenster's run, I believe). But failing that, I just went with the obvious "Om". The FJ! felt like a medium-value clue that got promoted to FJ! for some reason.
I was surprised none of the contestants got Kennebunkport...but I suppose the younger contestants in the year 2040 might be rusty on Mar-a-Lago.
Nice Thanksgiving talk at the top by Alex. Couldn't help but to think about his family this year, and how this is their first big holiday without him.

I'm a 25 year-old Canadian and I got it. Probably my proudest get of the night. These boards felt like the easiest all week, but that might be just me.talkingaway wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 8:10 pm I was surprised none of the contestants got Kennebunkport...but I suppose the younger contestants in the year 2040 might be rusty on Mar-a-Lago.
Instaget FJ. Contrary to Alex's remarks, there have been shorter FJ responses before:

Easily the best show that I’ve seen in a long time.
10/10
P.S. that FJ! clue should be a gimme w/ “syllable” as the key word.

11/4/88: I probably would’ve said E. That’s a tough get within 30 seconds.The Talking Mime wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 9:23 pm

4/26/98: Easy. As a frequent Vegas vacationer, that’s an Instaget for me. Shocked that it stumped everyone.
