Possibility 1. Despite his apologies, Richards is still proud of the podcasts, which "won multiple college broadcasting awards" -- but he deleted the podcasts because he doesn't want you to hear what he's still proud of.
Technically the "Randumb Show" mentioned in the show bio is a different Randumb Show. Yeah, there were two.

I don't like to bemoan what other people didn't so in the distant past, but I do wish Richards had been blessed with his own Guide Storm years ago.

There's a name I haven't heard in a long time, a long time.

So what now?

More guest hosts. Will they rotate through past guest hosts again or new faces?

Does Sony even want the show to continue? They couldn't have sabotaged any better if they tried.

According to the NY Times article I linked last week, it is still a highly profitable show for Sony, so yes, they want it to continue.

Seriously. Alex died in early November of last year. They'd had over nine months to find a new host and this is the best they could do?

they had way more time than that; from the moment he made the announcement about his health, a quiet search should've begun.

Chico and the Man did a better job of replacing a deceased star.

You're setting the bar awfully low. I'd say that even Valerie's Family/The Hogan Family did a better job.

Heck, Bewitched replaced the actor who played the husband, a significant character, and never said a word in-episode!

This.

Pancreatic cancer is bad. Your odds of beating it are extremely low. As soon as Alex made his diagnosis known to the production staff and Sony management, the search should have begun, and a host selected before Alex's passing made the host search an emergency.

I still wonder how much of Alex's dedication to hosting during the later stages of his disease was because he wanted it, and how much was because there was no one there ready to step in.

This whole episode is a major failure by Sony.

I agree, in fact I said in a thread at the time I was certain Alex’s replacement would be ready to go when appropriate, given the lead time they had.

On the other hand, I still believe the list of true potential new hosts was extremely short and most of what we saw this past season was a publicity stunt.

Jeopardy! fans don't like the feeling that we might have been played. I know I don't.

Did Joe claim to be one of those loyal viewers like other hosts said in their interviews? James did 37 games without including the GOAT. Joe should have heard of Mr. Holzhauer.
