Delta CBS broke away from the closing arguments to go to J! at the normal airing.

Since I'm sharing the chat segment with TJF, I'll share it here as well:
Spoiler
Quickly there were game moments with Mike (trying not to mean any offense) asking for a True Daily Double, Alex. Anderson got one of his own with a "no relation" about the car.

Definitely Anderson did not read every clue cleanly as I heard one redo for sure and I suspect at least one other.

The FJ! category had me precall:
The Scream
Guernica
American Gothic
The Last Supper
The Night Watch

If I would have kept at the precall game then I'm sure I would have hit upon the correct response sooner than later.

I joined the gentlemen for the solve when I saw the clue.

The clue might be painful for the famous (as far J! goes) gentleman in this game:
Spoiler
Patrick left 7000 on the table with his DD3 wager. More betting nerve and he's sitting at four wins and nearly $100K.

Mike's "comedy" reel:

Played off the archive because the trial is preempting most stations. The stalagtite vs. stalactite ruling seemed weird to me because I would think the pronunciation differences subtle, but I'll reserve further judgment until I see the game.

I didn't hear it the first time around and found the sequence confusing. But listening for it on the second try, I very clearly heard "stalagtite". The caption predictably said "stalactite" for both Mike's incorrect response and Patrick's correct rebound. I'm surprised Cooper caught it in real time. I think even Alex might have accepted it initially and had to claw the money back in a reversal. I wonder if they prepped Cooper for the possibility ahead of time or had a warning on his card.

Same here. I was expecting an explanation to Mike, though.

FJ was an instaget.

On the pronunciation front, I would have sworn Donna left out the d in “sous vide” and said “sous vie”, but it is admittedly hard to tell.

Anderson Cooper said the wrong word in the wctu clue. The clue on screen correctly had it as woman's but Cooper said women's.

Anderson seemed Very Natural Up There, hes not the One, but pretty good actually. not shocked though, ive always liked Him. and as expected very good at the interviews considering he does it for a living.

Would have taken "Animal Violence" instead of "Cruelty of Animals" ?

Dont know Paintings. Had no Chance.

I thought Anderson did a great job. My job on FJ wasn’t quite as good as I had American Gothic.

The clue had "As in these initials", referring to ASPCA, so no.

runs: Nixon, 10-letter Words, Ancient Cities
DDs: :D :( (nuthin') :D
trash: Sparta
FJ: Starry Night  thought it was pretty much a WECIB.
Never heard of the movie Her. :?
clammed on Military Cross. :|
fell for "Jo's Boys" :x

Furthermore, he made a serious wagering gaff on FJ, not just opting not to cover Donna but potentially getting into a tie-breaker with Mike on a TS.
Donna's wager was not much better. If she'd bet 798, she could have won on a TS, unless Patrick outsmarted her with 1797 instead of 1801.

Got Starry Night because I couldn't think of an alternative. It seemed a little too obvious.

I was at first confused about the stalagtite neg, but got it as soon as it was explained. Pretty simple FJ. I was disappointed with Patrick’s DD3 bet, and it cost him. And I don’t think that word means what Mike thinks it does when he prefaced his TDD with “With no deference to you, Anderson...”

Yeah, I caught that. I suspect he got hung up between "due deference" and "no disrespect" and came up with the wrong combo. :)

Yeah, he screwed it up. Too bad, because I was going to use the line if I ever got on the show and uncovered a DD. Now it's ruined.

I heard it the way you did but figured this is just their typical way with French because nobody's really sure which letters not to pronounce. They accept coo-duh-grah for coup de grâce all the time as though the "ce" is silent. We used to have a boardie who would complain about that every time. It was a major problem to him. I don't think he's still here though. Probably couldn't take it any more. Maybe he'll show back up for this scandal.

Cooper was decent. At the very most, he kept my interest.

Not an Instaget from my side, but I eventually pulled through.
