Anthony left $400 on the table at DD1.
DD2 was worse.
Angie: I've waited my whole life to make it a Daily Double.

Matt went for 10K on DD3 to seal the lock. If he had missed it then the game would not have been a runaway though the lead was all Matt needed today.

The FJ! clue got me twice. First, looking something in the fruit world, I wrote, "As American as apple pie". When that did not work for nutrition & health I switched to, "You are what you eat".

Far from the first time and won't be the last time that I missed one the contestants all got. The correct response never occurred to me and even if it had I probably would have attributed it to Franklin.

Who knows when it will be available but the promo for the "Overheard" segment was there again so that we can hear the players & Mayim chat after the game.

That's what I went with on a snap judgment. Had I taken the full 30 seconds, I might have come up with the correct response.

Finally done: https://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=7158

Nothing like being ahead of schedule with so few media clues and then being "blessed" by a neighbor stopping by for a lengthy chat about the latest things to watch on various streaming platforms.

I had nothing until about 25 seconds in when I focused on "fruit". Managed to write "an apple a day...". Yes, put the ellipsis since I knew I didn't have time for the rest and would hope for good luck in judging.

I would have expected a "Be more specific" on just "Browning", not that it probably matters much.

I actually looked up the last week of last season to see what my total streak might be. "Utopia" was the last one I missed, so including today I'm now sitting at 20 FJs in a row. That's fun.

Confusion in Kansas City!

J! began at 4:00 pm on WDAF which has been the new air time this season up to yesterday and Matt was not returning champion. Turned out it was a rerun. The cable guide now has Daytime J! at 4:00 instead of it's previous 4:30 with J! now at 4:30.so it was scheduled this way. But why the sudden change? It's going to mess things up for some people.

I'm not a fan of FJs where you have to begin writing immediately. I would have thought the show would have learned from the backlash over the Sgt Pepper one a few years ago.
Never been on J!, but once won a knockoff version that aired on local access TV.

TS on my home town. Don't know if it seemed so obvious since the founding story was drummed into us in grade school, though it was never clear that the founders actually named the town after their wives.

The clue said the author was a woman.

Another you are what you eat here.

If you hit a DD that early, you should go all in no matter who you are playing, much less Matt.

Yep. I don't care who they are, I will immediately root against anyone who doesn't a) go all-in on a DD against Matt (unless they already have a guaranteed lock game) or b) goes back to the category that JUST had a DD in it and there's still one left on the board.

I spent too much time contemplating "relating nutrition and health," and pretty much overlooked "fruit," so like a lot of us I wrote "You are what you eat" and was happy for a few seconds...And I thought that was a lot to write!...I'm a little skeptical that eating apples was "novel" in 1904, though once a day could be excessive. Somewhere I got the idea eating apples was common even in Bible days and I might have guessed the phrase went back almost as far... ;) (Though Angie smartly noted in the "overheard" that people made a lot of cider back in the day...If I wasn't so mad at myself I would allow me a glass of cider right about now...)
