Copernicus on Tuesday. I was spoiled on Friday but I think it was easy so I'm counting a get. I was 7/8 of the way to thinking of Bad News Bears by the time it was too late. I need to solidify Royals -> Monarchs in my mind. For the judge, I named the only non-SCOTUS judge from that time that I could: Learned Hand. As I said in Friday's thread I knew Gibraltar had an eponym because he was named in a DD in my first game, so I gave that option its first vote. (I guess Mark didn't mouse over the dollar value and see the erratum that his patronymic was Ziyad, not Zizad.)

Copernicus.
Have not seen The Scream.
Did not know Gibraltar was named for a person.
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

Copernicus.

Hadn't known Gibraltar's origin, but guessed correctly.

Haven't seen the Scream in person but I think it's in a book, or maybe on a web site.

A bit ashamed to know the Bad News Bears better than the Kansas City Monarchs, but nonetheless.
I'm smart and I want respect.

Darn Copernicus prevented a field of green.

May have been kinda sorta vaguely aware that Gibraltar was kinda sorta eponymous. Just enough that I was pretty confident in the answer without really knowing why.
I'm not the defending Jeopardy! champion. But I have played one on TV.

At least I know my 20th C. baseball commissioners...well, some of them... Is it BOO-wie or BOW-ie? ;)

This was a surprise (maybe?). I didn't realize I had a box of glory until filling out the form. It is only my third or fourth I think, if it counts. I spelled Suriname as "Surinam" with my mental light pen. I'll leave it as a get unless I get informed about an attitude adjustment. Never seen the Bad News Bears, but like the baseball themed extra questions.

Congrats on the 5-er as Surinam is fine without doubt. The Bad News Bears was great upon original release and has always been fascinating again through the decades with new perspectives. If you ever were to check it out make sure you are seeing the Matthau version.

I had a little help with that one, as when I visited Amsterdam a couple years ago, the tram stop nearest my hotel was Surinameplein.
