Not as sure as I was half an hour ago. (Maybe glasses were an adequate disguise for Superman.)Robert K S wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 12:33 amPretty sure or totally sure?MinnesotaMyron wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 12:08 ampretty sure that's not Rand's picture on his contestant page.
The head on our pic looks taller, but that could be the angle. The nose and mouth look exactly the same though, don't they?

Re: New old games in the J! Archive
My memory is jogged sufficiently that I am totally sure I did the screencap of him at the same time I did Charles Kaufman and I must have been working from a tape of the show, which I am not sure how I had.

I took the challenge, too, even though it wasn't directed at me, and got the right guy.MarkBarrett wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2019 6:20 pm I took the Joanne challenge and had the $400 name as the possible top box although I did consider the right guy. The one I dismissed was $600 in recalling the space in her name to think she was out.

I added 5/8/96 Teen Tournament QF3: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6367
Player pics of Peter Friedman, Derek Bridges & Linda Alila:
Nice high-scoring totals by the teens.
At chat time Linda talked about wanting to be a surgeon and Alex asked if she watched Chicago Hope or ER. Linda shared that ER was her favorite show. Uncle Alex went a step further in working in an Eriq La Salle reference.
It was Linda’s day as ANATOMY came up in the DJ! round and then MEDICINE in the FJ! round.
If there are more tourney requests please post today or otherwise I will go back to 1989 College next week.

Re: New old games in the J! Archive
Requests by all four posters seen and I can honor one of each next week and for a fifth game I expect to do will cycle back to jeff since he was first in. As time allows I'll work on the others with the hope/expectation I have most of the wanted games. The ones I suspect are most problematic are a 1988 senior game I recall not having and a memory that the tape I have for the 1990 Teen QF games is very fussy.

WOMEN IN THE NEWS for $200 has an extra "a" in the first line.
Svetlana Stalin was also a correct response in the previous year's Seniors Tourney.
