$41,000 for three days (under old values) is quite impressive. Mark (or anyone else for that matter), would you happen to know about Gordon's stats on the day he was defeated?

In the category of something is better than nothing I added 12/20/90: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6457

It's a partial game found here: https://www.facebook.com/nthnhwtt/video ... cation=ufi

with 2 games edited into 13 minutes and change leading to of course a lot missing. There were some peeks at the scoreboard though not enough. Thanks to my scoresheet for that game I know where the DDs were located. The rest is a lot of guesswork and messing around to get the numbers to work.

I'll tackle the second game at a later time.
Well done making the most of what you had to work with!

Though a Beatty film shared its name with this fertility goddess, it bore little fruit at the box office
I would argue that the relevant portion of the clue is "this fertility goddess", and thus that

The italics have been removed while the capitalization remains.

I filled in 3/13/02: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=1720

The links (only 3 - made the task easier) should all work, in addition to the player pics.

In a similar vein, I've found a portion of Dave Willis game 5 on YouTube, uploaded by one of the challengers in that game. It contains his and Dave's interviews, the last eight clues of DJ, and FJ. https://youtu.be/eDWTe1V_jQI

It was uploaded to YT back in November 2012, but thanks for finding it. Hopefully you'll find more unarchived stuff.

After watching the clip the next one that came up was this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9HIU71VZNo (looks like it's been there since 2013)

Wayne was on 6/24 - 6/26/92

When time allows I will try to get what I can from the clips into the Archive.

I added what was available of 1/30/92: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6474

Drew deserved to lose for trying to beat Dave by a buck when it was Dave's last day anyway. Karma.

Especially from an exact two-thirds situation. Speaking of which, Alex said to Drew at the end of DJ, "You have one third again as much as Dave," but he should have said "one half" instead. If the scores are x and .75x, that's when the leader has one third again as much as the trailer.

Using what was available I added 6/24/92: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6475

It is no fun trying to get the scores to match the few peeks at the scoreboard.

See a few posts above for the link to the YT video I used. The source was not from my tape collection.

I filled in what was available (from the YT upload linked above) and added 6/25/92: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6476

Wayne's game 3 not on the video:

Wayne: 4800-4500=300
Charles: 5700-5500=200
John Kelly: 9900+1501=11401

Even if the system goes down around Christmas or NYE I'm making sure I get at least one old one in for December.

I filled in 3/21/02: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=1726

All of the links work.

Bobby really let that game get away as after clue 16 in the DJ round he led 15200 to 5200 to 3800 with the DDs already gone. Maggie showed how much can be done with less than half a round (plus the FJ! round).

Funny, when I started the game there was already a correction suggestion sitting there. It's a common thing with Sofia being mistaken for Sarah as the cold opening was marked for the wrong Clue Crew member. All good now.

Finally closing the book on April 16, 1996, Tom Kalita vs. Ted Buyniski vs. Barbara Andrae. This was the game following Michael Dupee's 5-game run, so all three players were new.

It's been so long since I started this one, I can't remember what the interesting clues might be. I'll give clue of the game to "P"s for $400 (J!), a fun etymology.
This brownish-purple color derives its name from the French word for "flea"
Spoiler
What is puce?
I was surprised that there was no prompt for a first name on LITERATURE for $600, since there are a number of writers with that name.
Like his "Tropic" books, his trilogy "The Rosy Crucifixion" was banned from the U.S. for many years
Spoiler
Who is Henry Miller?
This is Rosy Crucifixion's first appearance in the Archive, although "Tropic" is the crux of the clue. And thanks to FJ!, we also welcome Joanna Pettet, Kathleen Widdoes, and Joan Hackett to the J-Canon, as parts of clues. Google spellcheck recognized that I had mistyped "Candice" Bergen, "Joanne" Pettet and Joan "Hacket", which is both impressive and creepy. It also wants me to do spellcheck as 2 works, but I'm not gonna.

Have a great weekend everybody.

Yes, please, even if it means having to adjust the date for the game already in there marked for March 4th.

PM to me or Myron (or Andy or RKS), public link for video uploaded...Mail a VHS or DVD...we're flexible and always happy to add any old games.
