What I'm calling 10/22/86 (for now) is in thanks to kablamfan11 sharing another upload: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6494

Like last night with the Indian name request I have another one from this game. Clue 5 of the DJ! round I do not know what Michael guessed. Help, please.

I can't believe that in one game I ran into the trifecta of the degrees symbol, cents sign, and a chemical formula needing the tag.

The FJ! clue going TS in 1986? Come on people like Alex said, "Do the math."
I'll find some more unarchived stuff later this month.

According to the Sioux City Journal, Janet Stevenson's run began on Friday October 17 1986. So her 4th game on 10/22/86 is the correct airdate.

Now, as for the GSN rerun date of the newly-archive episode, it can be either November 18 or November 25, 1998, what do you think kablamfan11?

After clue 29 of the DJ! round Alex mentions the name that would have been in clue 30. Dave indicated he knew who it was. I don't and left a [?] that I would be glad to fill in if a helpful boardie can please provide an assist.

That would be Ma-ka-tai-me-she-kia-kiak (better known as Black Hawk) and Studs Terkel, respectively.

You think? Well, if you seen the first batch of episodes of Season 3 closely, Sherman Allen's episodes were rerun on November 30-December 1, 1998, Fern Cogar's episodes were rerun on October 7-9, 1998. So with that said, I say November 18, 1998. Just a hunch, because Alex said during Games #491-#495 he hinted to mention the upcoming ToC and in Game #495, he said it was nearly Legal Week featuring law students and attorneys appearing over the course of the week. Yes, the commercials included the Game Show Turkeys promo in the rerun, that'll give me a hint too.

Fern Cogar's episodes originally ran 9/10/86, 9/11/86 & 9/12/86. His 1st game is unarchived.

There shouldn't be an apostrophe in there.

Thanks for the upload with the missing pieces. The gap is filled in: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=4788

Not the first time I've had to pull the triple trap door on clue one.

Bedtime for me and I'll deal with correction suggestions tomorrow.

How do they miss clue one back in 1986? Wow. (The first word of that clue is in all caps but I'm assuming it shouldn't be?)

I see they did miserably in the whole category with only the second clue getting a correct response. That was the oldest of the TV shows asked about. Did these contestants skew old? Or maybe just highbrow? I would've run that category except for the DD. I guessed wrong on it: In 1985 it became the 1st TV theme to top the charts since "Welcome Back, Kotter" in 1976.
Spoiler
Show
But I wouldn't have guessed Hill Street Blues, I'll tell you that. I went with the theme to The Greatest American Hero, even though I knew 1985 was slightly late for that. But I remembered the song charting, darn it! Looking it up, I see it peaked at number 2 in 1981.

IT to It, thank you. Hard to know why the category bombed so badly although I don't think it's an age thing. I think it's possible that someone could be a regular viewer of any/all of the shows and still not get the clues right other than the first one. That's the only one that is inexcusable with any kind of exposure to the opening.

I deleted the "Missing first 13 clues." notation, since I was logged in anyway to add the "Jennifer Quail game" tags.

Last night when I entered the clues I deleted the missing 13 clues message. Tonight I have deleted it, pushed the edit button which should save the change and then also pushed the edit button which would save any changes on the prizes. The 13 clues message no longer shows for me so hoping it is solved.

I was not sure about the protocol for when to tag a current champ for games number and did not want to post here in case it spoiled someone. That also kept me from emailing Robert in case he was not caught up.

Cat's out of the bag. Should I do it as soon as someone wins five? Wait? If so, how long?

Even though "5 wins" doesn't really mean anything anymore, I still take that as the benchmark. Once they've hit that, they've earned the notation. Less than 5 wins, they can wait until the ToC berth.
