I was 26 when this game aired but I don’t remember this park. I did get this right on an educated guess.

Harry Eisenberg covers this in "Inside Jeopardy". They paper had come back while they said it was defunct, and then went defunct again before they the apology aired.talkingaway wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2020 6:12 pmInteresting game. Check out OOPS! for $400, and the DD in NEWSPAPERS for game #314 in the Archive. The clue in #314 might deserve an erratum, if only for posterity.kablamfan11 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2020 3:04 pm I uploaded the 9/9/87 episode on the Internet Archive:

ETA: Ah, the clue covers that. Was this a three-part story then?

Re: New old games in the J! Archive
Apparently. The clue from 1985 said the paper was dead. The clue from September 1987 referenced two other clues, so I assume there's another clue in late 1986 or early 1987 that said the paper was still around. I only did a cursory search in the database, but I know it's spotty in the early years.MinnesotaMyron wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2020 8:12 pmHarry Eisenberg covers this in "Inside Jeopardy". Re: New old games in the J! Archive
I added 9/28/95: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6615
Linda Roberts (already shared her pic) played John Dowling and Ray Fastiggi:
20R by Linda in the J! round was like watching a typical KJ regular play game.
Very jarring to see a Faye Resnick clue as who has thought about her in the past nearly 25 years?
J! loves their start/end century puzzlers for the FJ! round.

For the record, Susie Macksey (from the archived 2/10/93 game and the 2/11/93 & 2/12/93 episodes) was also on Win Ben Stein's Money on 10/7/98, and here's how she did there:

Oh wow, I didn't know that. Her 4th & final appearance on J! was after the Teen Tournament, which aired on 3/1/93.Jeff-thecdboy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 6:14 pm For the record, Susie Macksey (from the archived 2/10/93 game and the 2/11/93 & 2/12/93 episodes) was also on Win Ben Stein's Money on 10/7/98, and here's how she did there:

Re: New old games in the J! Archive
Thanks to the recent upload I was able to fill in the missing 20 clues from 9/11/87: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=4992
Player pics of Ted Cooperstein (polka dot tie) defending against Sharon Duke & Dennis/Denny/Den Golden:
Going off the chats I filled in some of the missing information for the player bios although it may not be exactly as Johnny said it at the start.
I have made my own recordings of all of the old games shared on this thread this week, so even if they disappear they are at least in the mitts of one archivist.

No problem. I think I can try to find more missing games. It's worth a shot.MarkBarrett wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 1:58 am Thanks to the recent upload I was able to fill in the missing 20 clues from 9/11/87: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=4992

Re: New old games in the J! Archive
Cherry picking games shared on the board I entered 1/28/91: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6617
Player pics of challengers (sounded like) Rob Meade & Anne May
who played Lynne Wexler who already has multiple pics in the archive.
MIDDLE AGES $400 for a silly error by both player and host.

In a more recent game, they'd have thrown out the clue once Alex said the correct response; no rebound for Lynne.MarkBarrett wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 7:10 pm MIDDLE AGES $400 for a silly error by both player and host.

Re: New old games in the J! Archive
I added India Cooper #3 from 12/18/91: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6619
Player pics of challengers Gail Gray & Julie Crouchley:
Hmm, three women and a baseball category. A plane on the runway. When have I run into this kind of stuff recently?
Another ToCer and another one with over 30R. Nice mauling.
The clue about the Cubs is no longer true and I would love current J! to have a FJ! clue about the bookends.
The link posted Saturday still works and if you want some "Uncle Alex" that sounds a little off with 2020 sensitivities then the chats deliver.

Do not open the spoiler unless you have seen the Tuesday episode from April 28.MarkBarrett wrote: ↑Tue Apr 28, 2020 6:50 pm

It also had the Ten Commandments
Tough spot on FJ for India as she couldn’t bet much.

The baseball category went well. The last clue was tough if you aren’t a baseball historian. Getting the one right before it was impressive.Spoiler

I did as well and went 3/3 on tonight’s game. I did almost say someone else for the bottom clue in the old game until I saw it was a second baseman.
