Bingo is still illegal in the UAE.
Ah, thanks for checking, I was going to do that and forgot. The first clue of the game became no longer true in 1998.
And I corrected Billy David, Jr. to Billy Davis, Jr.

I accepted the correction suggestion to put the fix in place. Thanks.

I am going to add 10/25/88 tomorrow. The Audio DD is giving me trouble as I cannot match the lyrics played in this clip:
Spoiler

to these lyrcis:
Spoiler
Times have changed
And we've often rewound the clock
Since the Puritans got a shock
When they landed on Plymouth Rock.
If today
Any shock they should try to stem
'Stead of landing on Plymouth Rock,
Plymouth Rock would land on them.
In olden days, a glimpse of stocking
Was looked on as something shocking.
But now, God knows,
Anything goes.
Good authors too who once knew better words
Now only use four-letter words
Writing prose.
Anything goes.
If driving fast cars you like,
If low bars you like,
If old hymns you like,
If bare limbs you like,
If Mae West you like,
Or me undressed you like,
Why, nobody will oppose.
When ev'ry night the set that's smart is in-
Truding in nudist parties in
Studios.
Anything goes.
When Missus Ned McLean (God bless her)
Can get Russian reds to "yes" her,
Then I suppose
Anything goes.
When Rockefeller still can hoard en-
Ough money to let Max Gordon
Produce his shows,
Anything goes.
The world has gone mad today
And good's bad today,
And black's white today,
And day's night today,
And that gent today
You gave a cent today
Once had several chateaux.
When folks who still can ride in jitneys
Find out Vanderbilts and Whitneys
Lack baby clo'es,
Anything goes.
If Sam Goldwyn can with great conviction
Instruct Anna Sten in diction,
Then Anna shows
Anything goes.
When you hear that Lady Mendl standing up
Now turns a handspring landing up-
On her toes,
Anything goes.
Just think of those shocks you've got
And those knocks you've got
And those blues you've got
From that news you've got
And those pains you've got
(If any brains you've got)
From those little radios.
So Missus R., with all her trimmin's,
Can broadcast a bed from Simmons
'Cause Franklin knows
Anything goes.
Please help by posting the relevant snippet. From there it's no fun figuring out what to include for the Archive as there is a lot going on with Bob and Alex.

I could do:
(Bob: [smiles and shakes head no] ...I know it, but it's not there.)
[Too late]
(Bob: [*]!)
(Alex: Yeah, you didn't phrase it properly.)
Alex says something else, but I cannot make it out.

It defintely starts at:

The world has gone mad today
And good's bad today,
And black's white today,
And day's night today,

but then it diverges.

The world has gone mad today,
And good's bad today,
And black's white today,
And day's night today,
And most guys today
That women prize today
Are just silly gigolos.
And though I'm not a great romancer,
I know that I'm bound to answer
When you propose,
Anything goes!

This sounds like a Patti LuPone rendition, if that helps.

I found 92 regular-play games in the Archive with three new players (three of those games ended in a tie). The winner(s) came from the left podium 34 times, the middle podium 29 times, and the right podium 27 times.
Thanks for the research on fresh start players and with the games in so far it's a little more evenly distributed than I thought it might be. I like that it goes 1-2-3.

Here's another in the tally for the center podium with Eric Aranda, Doug Marsh & Regina Jahr playing after Steve Robin retired: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=5764

This is how category 6 in the J! round was displayed for something unusual:

I took a shot at how to note that in the Archive.
Watch out for Demogorgons.
How about
NMOɊ-ƎɊISԀ∩
or
uʍop-ǝpısdn
It turns me inside out.
The word “or” needs to be changed to “of” between Governor and Illinois.

I filled in what I had of S5 10/21/88: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6012

I do have more complete games to do next week, but today worked for me to do a partial.

Help please with the correct response at Cartoons $400 as my recording either hiccuped or there was a bad edit. It sounded like "-field" and it can't be Garfield, can it? Whatever she said got clipped.

Edit: I figured it out. It's Felix. Duh!

04-03-1995 has been uploaded. It's the first game after Bruce Borchardt retired undefeated.

This game was pointed out to me through a Facebook share if any archivist wants at it:

It's broken up into four parts.

The recording had no color, but for what matters the video and audio were fine for archiving.

Yeah, another game with the color not working.
The FJ! clue is definitely outdated.

The clue that ended the J! round was good for a laugh.

Clue 1 accepted is one of those judging things that happened in earlier seasons.

Tom got served by Alex in NEW YORKERS. Tom foolishly announced seeing the pattern in the category when solving the DD and then Alex turned the tables on the $400 clue. You can bet Alex was looking forward to springing the pattern after the category had played out and Tom had the nerve to upstage the host.

This game was the debut of the category HETERONYMS and I took my best shot at distinguishing the two different responses. Post any corrections you would like and I can make the change.

How did you do on FJ? That is probably one the 1988 me gets but remembering him 30 years later was too much.

I matched Steve and that's with the advantage of having seen the episode previously although years ago. I was also trying to determine for J! purposes if it meant House only or senators count as Congress as well?

Things change and sites are not updated. For current members are:
Spoiler
Sen. Patrick Leahy (D) Vermont
and Rep. Don Young (R) Alaska

the ones that have been in the longest?
