I added 10/25/95: https://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=7099

Player pics of Steve Boyd & Clytie David who played Dennis Jones:

Good game and Dennis seemed liked someone who could have done well in a Seniors Tournament.

Steve's chat gave me extra work since both of his brothers were on J! and they are in the archive. Hoped I linked it all correctly as it got a little dizzy doing cut/paste and trying to change the relevant facts without retyping the lines three times.

If only every game could be 58R, 2 TS and only 4W. Steve let that one get away.

Alex talked about the upcoming ToC and the possibility of Tom qualifying. Bye bye.

Thanks to the Drive I have Nov. 1-3, Dec. 14 & 15, and Jan.1 from S12. If another archivist wants at them then go ahead as I am taking a break on entering old games until after the Olympics. I'll still do theFJguy, S37 archiving and the weekly poll. Archive.org uploads are on a break as well until next month.

Is this worth adding a note to the Archive?

https://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=2378

From alt.tv.game-shows:
>according to the credits, the *entire* Double Jeopardy! had
>to be replayed due to a problem with a signalling button.
>Anyone have any more details about this? I've never heard of
>such a thing.

Yep, a friend of mine was at the taping, and says that Butch's button
wasn't working throughout the DJ! round, and they didn't figure it out
until towards the end, when the other two contestants missed a question
and Butch was unable to ring in. Alex told the audience that it was only
the second time such a thing has happened in 15 years of "Jeopardy!".

So there was a long delay for that, and then between the end of the
replacement DJ! and Final Jeopardy!, there was a long delay to have the
researchers in L.A. figure out whether or not Josh's answer of "husky" for
Balto's breed was acceptable.

It looks like there was already a note in the Final, but I added one to the game comments anyway. Also added a note to Butch's player page.

Another interesting thing about that College Championship was the player arrangement in this game:

https://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=2385

Josh had 2899 and Whitney had 2800, so their placements should have been reversed. I wonder if this was a mistake on J's part or intentional for some reason.

I should have expected there was already something. Thanks.

I went ahead and entered what there was, since it filled a date gap between two existing games.

https://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=7109

Did anyone else notice Alex let Marty get away with "Robin Louis Stevenson"?

Can anyone tell from Peter's uniform what his service branch and rank were? (Or for that matter what his surname and announced occupation and hometown were?)

With the drive on my primary account almost full I had to open another Google account for the episodes. Note these are VOB files so I'm not sure how they'll work on your part with whatever system you use. Here's the link:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

And because the files are massive in size, the episodes will be up for two weeks from the day I posted them to the drive and then I'll be deleting them to make way for the next group of episodes. So in both cases, I propose you watch the episodes when you have the chance.
I saw the October 18, 1995 episode that was just uploaded does have the complete intro included.

New additions to that page are the following:
January 4, 1996
January 9, 1996
January 22, 1996 (Bill Dickenson game 5)
February 5, 1996
February 6, 1996
April 8, 1996
June 26, 1996
June 28, 1996

Dang, Mark beat me to it, with better info. I found that Andrew Boynton now works for The New Yorker, and there's an article (by someone else) where he is mentioned as having been on in 1992, which would have eliminated the first few months of season 8.
