I have recordings of the missing games of Season 18 in 2001 and 2002. Can I get involved in posting them to the archive? I would love to post some games. Otherwise, I'm wondering if any of the people working on Season 18 need recordings of the 22 or so games? One way or another, I'd love to see them in the archive.
Hey, I need recordings of the 22 games from Season 18. I can make transcripts.
You need recordings of Season 18? I have DVDs of more than half the season. What would you like me to do?
You can convert it to MP4 & send it to me via google drive.
OK, I think I can do that. My upload speeds are very slow, so I'll see how it goes with the first missing show, #3981. I'll keep you posted. I can't private message yet.

kablamfan is not associated with J! Archive; sending him your videos for "transcripts" will not get these episodes into J! Archive any faster.

Okay.
Here's the Drive link to 3981, 3991, 3992. I edited 3991 and 3992 and reduced the bitrate more so they would upload faster. Some Clue Crew introductions and all interviews are cut off in the original recordings from tv. My current trimming of 3991 and 3992 only eliminated commercials. Please tell me if you can access them, and if they work for you. I'll do the remaining missing shows if you like them.

What he said. However, putting them in a google drive like you just did, where I can get to them will get them into the Archive faster. But I've got a couple of games to enter beforehand. Thanks though.

For the mirliton material in MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS is it age or region that I only knew of wax paper for it. I have never heard of the correct response for that particular use previously.

I can never remember and Google hits & Archive hits are inconsistent. Is zodiac capitalized? Are the signs capitalized? I went no and yes.

N.E.W.S. was a hot category in 1987. Here's another example, with a surprisingly tricky $500 clue.

http://j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=5355

Challenge for Mark: The $100 and $200 clues in that category are classic TV trivia of the format "Of North, East, West, or South, one who played XXX on TV". Can you guess the 2 roles and 2 actors without peeking?

I have not peeked and have Jay North as Dennis the Menace and Adam West as Batman. For an East bonus I have Bob Hope's boxing name of Packy East. Nothing for South. Time to look.

They also had someone read it to them, too.
The best thing that Neil Armstrong ever did, was to let us all imagine we were him.
Latest movies (1-10): Everything Everywhere All at Once (10), Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken (6), Black Sunday /1960/ (6), Marcel the Shell with Shoes On (7)

I've only ever heard "tissue paper".

The Dennis the Menace TV show was my only NHOI and miss in that category.

Tissue paper is all I have ever heard.

The bottom sports clue was tricky. The pommel horse is for men only and it appears to require a great amount of strength.

Random observation:

My notes say that a clip from the 12/10/09 interview segment was shown on the 1/11/10 episode of Wheel of Fortune. My question is twofold:

1.) Anyone got the clip? (from either J! or Wheel)

2.) Should this be noted in the Archive as a rare exchange of material between the two shows? Can't say it's very often that either shows a clip of the other.

No for me to 1, but I'd be down for a yes on 2, only because it is Wheel of Fortune.

Does anybody know if there is a missing game in Season 18? There are 229 shows listed for Season 18, which is one short of a full 230.
The archive skips show #4088 and May 15 2002, but there is no discontinuity in the contestants:
#4077 Ronnie O'Rourke first win.
#4078 to #4087 Million Dollar Masters 10-game tournament
#4088 SKIPPED
#4089 Ronnie O'Rourke 1-day champion game

#4088 is missing, but the shows are continuous. Are the numbers just messed up, or is there a missing show somewhere, with the numbers also being messed up somewhere else?
