The miniseries starring Gary Cole had just aired earlier that year so maybe it could have been fresh in the mind, and it won 4 emmies which could have been even fresher in the mind, possibly just before taping. (Then again I’m not sure anyone knew who Gary Cole was before Office Space which was still nearly a decade away.) Obviously none of this helped the 3 on stage...
This episode would have been taped just as Gary Coles' series Midnight Caller was ending (it ran from 1988-1991) and he did garner attention for playing Jeffrey MacDonald in Fatal Vision a few years earlier.

IMO the movie with Richard Mulligan would have been the most famous. That was Little Big Man with Dustin Hoffman. Chief Dan George was nominated for a number of best supporting actor awards (including the Academy Awards and Golden Globes) and won at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards and Laurel Awards.

Yeah. At least his version is not a GSN airing. I used to watch season 18 episodes when they reran on GSN from April 2005-early to mid 2008.

I'm going to be more explicit this time, because you missed it when I was being implicit about it.

This thread is titled "New old games in the J! Archive". J! Archive refers to the website http://www.j-archive.com/ .

Please check J! Archive before posting about games that find their way onto the Internet.

If a game gets posted somewhere and it is already in J! Archive, that is not a reason to post in this thread.

If a game gets posted somewhere and it is NOT in J! Archive, that is what we want to hear about.

Well, if I find games that are not in the J! Archive, I'll let you know. Some season 18 games are not filled in yet but I could find the games. The 2/21/02 episode has game show themed categories in Double J!, but not in the J! archive.

Penny sounded like a live-action version of Patty or Selma Bouvier.

Joe had NYT crossword puzzles published and participated at the ACPT: https://www.crosswordtournament.com/200 ... lonick.htm

I found an obit for a Joseph Clonick with a death date of 3/31/18 that is very likely him although I could not find a picture to go with it or enough details to confirm it. If he is the same Joseph Clonick then he gave generously enough to Oberlin to have things with his name on them. During the chat with Alex, Joe mentioned he had written a musical based on Dickens’ A Christmas Carol that had a short run.

Another thing to add to the J! checklist when going on: Have a sense of countries and their places in hemispheres. The FJ! round responses were head shaking.
Orient yourself properly or else you'll have occidents.
Forgot to note that the 1994 Seniors Tournament was the last shows of Jeopardy! filmed @ the Hollywood Center Studios; they moved to their home @ Sony Pictures Studios the next season.

I don't mind hearing about new links to games, especially S18 games, in this thread, because the GSN games excluded the fee plugs (i.e., runner-up prizes), whereas taped original-broadcast shows might include them and let us put them in.

I filled in 2/19/02: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=1435

All of the links should work.

Ouch on Paul's end game.

I think it's down to about 30 games from S18 left to fill in. Tiny steps.

My current game is the last incomplete game of that season, so we'll meet in the middle eventually. Oh those awesome Clue Crew clues though.

The Clue Crew clues are always fun to guess the extension and when it's a .jpg to determine if there is a close-up that warrants an additional link.

For the wording copying from the CC file saves my sanity.

The anatomy category is misspelled in double jeopardy, the G should be removed.

Oh that's nice. That category needs a revival.

Do you prefer corrections submitted here or via the archive? ($400 clue in AGNATOMY has "call" where it probably should be "called".)
