Re: Tuesday, December 21, 2021 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)
Ken let Jason know he could bet up to 1000 on DD1 and Jason did just that in dropping into the red.
Amy is so good over 61 clues that even if she had lost the 5000 on DD3 it would not have mattered in the end. Jason was fighting just to prevent the lock and could not do it.
The FJ! category had me struggling for a precall other than age 97 Eva Marie Saint.
The FJ! clue had me go with another MCWA to go along with the one from yesterday.
Even after Kaitlyn & Jason were ruled wrong I still had no idea who to guess. Not on my radar at all.
Amy is keeping the streak alive so far of no one ever losing game 15. A loss this week will give Amy the first at games 16-18.

Not sure why I thought Elizabeth Barrett Browning was American.

A good FJ where you had to put together the pieces. It can't be Susan B Anthony or Elizabeth Cady Stanton as they were suffragettes. A well known American woman from the 19th century may well be a novelist. Wasn't Alcott from Massachusetts? Bingo.

If I'd thought of HB Stowe I might have hesitated - that has a certain resonance - but I thought that Alcott was from Concord and that turned out to be right.
I know it's been a clue a thousand times, but Ken still led me wrong the way he read that MMM clue - with no hesitation, I said M&M/Mars... Not fair, Ken! Mars Incorporated, it turns out, is not publicly traded.

That's who I was trying to think of after discounting Alcott, annoyingly. Unfortunately, mixed her up with Stanton...
I -was-, however, thrilled with picking up 3 TSs at the end, so I got that going for me. Which is nice.

Amy is playing well. I'm 4/15 on the same FJs that she is 14/15.

I had a dream that I was asleep and then I woke up and Jeopardy! was on.

Either one makes more sense with Ken's reading...but I have to point out that the Campbell's reading should be in 2 syllables...It's mm-MM good! Ticker: CPBMattKnowles wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 11:12 pm Amy is playing well. I'm 4/15 on the same FJs that she is 14/15.

Ever since the clue, I've been wondering about the flavor profile of 3M products...

Also, I didn't think that looked much like Steffi Graf.
