Re: Tuesday, January 25, 2022 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)
Great to see a bowling clue even if easy. I saw it when it happened.
Sad note for fans: Mark Roth died in Nov. 2021.
Happy note for bowling fans: This Saturday Tommy Jones, Sean Rash and Jason Belmonte will be in the finals.
Another game essentially done in the first segment. At some point Amy is going to pay the price for staying in the category of DD2 and not hunting down DD3.
The FJ! category had my precall game off as I only worked on various sharks/whales names with a bit of fish fin names.
The FJ! clue had me match the contestants without speed as I had seaweed/kelp detours before realizing the obvious.
The game has enough oddball non-academic material that I predict LSV will not sniff a perfecto outside of 4/4 on the wagering clues.

It's my fault, as I'm working through some things on the backend.

I would have gotten this if I'd remembered to read the friggin' category. Forest fires had me stuck on land and trying to think of large pieces of land where destruction was rampant. And I don't mean Gary, Indiana.

on big clues
Couldn't take advantage of the bottom row trash in DJ
My first thought in FJ was the Sargasso Sea, reread the clue & got to the Great Barrier Reef

I had the ocean floor for FJ.
Add me to the Amy is boring group. She is dominant, but doesn’t spice things up by bouncing all around or making huge wagers.

How many runaways in a row does this make? Is she close to a record in that regard?

For Ken I see 18 to close out S20 and ten more to start S21 for 28 over the two seasons. Ken later had ten twice and six twice.
For James I see 15 from games 3-17.
For Matt I see 14 from games 25-38.
For Amy I see 13 from games 28-40.
Julia's best was 7 in a row.

Re: Tuesday, January 25, 2022 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)
I'll bet you didn't know there's a hymn called Lord of the Lands set to the tune of O Canada.
Lord of the lands, beneath Thy bending skies,
On field and flood, where’er our banner flies,
Thy people lift their hearts to Thee,
Their grateful voices raise:
May e’er this thankful country be
A temple to Thy praise.
Thy will alone let all enthrone;
Refrain
Lord of the lands, make all our hearts Thine own:
Lord of the lands, make all our hearts Thine own!
Almighty Love, by Thy mysterious power,
In wisdom guide, with faith and freedom dower;
Be ours a nation evermore
That no oppression blights,
Where justice rules from shore to shore,
From lakes to mountain heights.
May love alone for wrong atone;
Refrain
Lord of the worlds, with strong eternal hand,
Hold us in honor, truth and self-command;
The loyal heart, the constant mind,
The courage to be true,
Our wide extending empire bind,
And all the earth renew.
Thy name be known through every zone;
Lord of the worlds, make all the lands Thine own:
Lord of the worlds, make all the lands Thine own!
