I didn't recognize young Buzz Aldrin and if they hadn't given the "second man on the Moon" hint I would've said the picture showed his crewmate Neil Armstrong.

And I've met him in real life.

Suvla Bay didn't sound Turkish to me, in fact it made me think of Subic Bay, which is in the Philippines. Didn't matter, though. It combined with Hellas and WWI made it Gallipoli for me without any hesitation.

I think Jutland is a decent guess. It was purely a naval battle, though.
I got this one from the Pogues' cover of the song "The Band Played Waltzing Matilda":

And the band played Waltzing Matilda
As the ship pulled away from the quay
And amidst all the cheers, the flag-waving and tears
We sailed off for Gallipoli

And how well I remember that terrible day
How our blood stained the sand and the water
And of how in that hell that they called Suvla Bay
We were butchered like lambs at the slaughter . . .

Anyone know the tape date?
According to Matt, it was Tuesday of the following week, which was January 18:
...
Done, much obliged.
Apologies for the bump, but January 24 was the tape date for next week's shows (week of March 28), according to this contestant article:
https://www.pharostribune.com/news/arti ... c01eb.html
EDIT: A contestant on the March 28 show said on Reddit that the taping date for said week's shows was January 26.

So, they gave the episode a second chance?
