Finally had a chance to watch and was pleasantly surprised it was video as I misunderstood a post somewhere to think it was audio only.

Fort Baxter saved me from being skunked in the four clues played in TV and I know I'm not the only boardie who rang in from the 4th podium for the 14 in sports.

Art Fleming was the right man for the job. Well done.

That was fun. And a little bizarre.

So what happened if the "upper" clue was a TS? I imagine "last correct questioner" gets the DD underneath?
Nope—Art basically said "That's a shame, because under that clue was the Daily Double"—and it went unplayed.

As I expected, I got hammered with the Pop Culture questions.

There were definitely a number of clues the contestants missed that many J! players today would get. Especially Final.
Even taking into account that the players might have tanked FJ, as noted in this thread, I have to believe that many J! players then would have got those clues too. Alaska had been a state for 5 years!

I just said Who is Dracula in FJ. Didn’t know he was a doctor.
Isn't it Dr. Acula? Anyway, I got that but hadn't a clue or cluette as to who first sanforized a shirt. Go figure.

Another historic name change of 1965 was that of Arnold Dorsey to Engelbert Humperdinck (though according to this, "Hump himself would like to know" the exact date). His children were Scott, Jason, Louise, and Bradley.

I'm pretty sure Syngman Rhee-->Hawaii came up in Learned League a few seasons ago, but Nguyen Van Thieu was the only name that came to my mind here.
I'm smart and I want respect.
