If I had 50 cents for every math question I got right, I'd have $6.30 by now.

Strange wager by the leader in that game, too. And the tiebreaker was The Sun Also Rises, which made an appearance today.

Since a year is 365.25 days, it is precisely 20 years later. Besides, there are 5 leap days in that period.

In your defense, it is an easy mistake to make. Normally, years ending in 00 are not leap years. However, if the year is evenly divisible by 400, as the year 2000 is, then it is a leap year.

Maybe it was just the quality of the video, but wasn't Chris' response in FJ completely illegible? It looked like Alex couldn't even read it until she read it for him.

I could make out most of it, but it looked more like "Pentagon apers", as there didn't seem to be much of a mark where her second "P" should be. I thought the other correct responder's writing wasn't much better, which may just be a case where the quality of the light pens has improved greatly over the last 20 years, so I'm not used to so many of the contestants' writings looking like chicken scratch. Of course, I have trouble just signing my name legibly on the credit card signature screen at the grocery store, so I may be in trouble if I ever make it on the show.Woppy T wrote:Maybe it was just the quality of the video, but wasn't Chris' response in FJ completely illegible? One question...does anyone know what time of day this video was uploaded, or if there is a way to determine that on Youtube? I was wondering if it was done simply because it was the 20th anniversary, or if the uploader did it after seeing or hearing about the results of last night's show.

Not only did we all live through it, but seriously... the mistake should've been to get it "wrong" in the first place, and list it. Unless you've personally experienced the lack of leap day in 1800 and 1900!

Re: 5/4/1992 FInal J! and tiebreaker
I am thinking that many spoiler tags were a direct result of my spoiler tag in my first post of the thread. I, however, tagged that one because I had not yet, and I assume(d) many others had not yet, seen the "20th anniversary" episode. But I had been spoiled by Alex during the DC taping so I knew what was coming up later that day (that is, the day I made my post).Paucle wrote:Why are we spoiling all these thingies anyway?Spoiler

Qbertkamp just responded to their post. They apparently are one of the contestant from that College tourney, they claimed to be waiting in the green room without knowing what was going on.
