2012 Summer Hiatus Challenge -- Round 1, Day 1

Post by DadofTwins » Mon Jul 30, 2012 2:17 pm

Welcome to the 2012 Summer Hiatus Challenge.

Please read the rules thread to make sure you know what's going on before scrolling any further. Also, please remember to post your Wild Card eligibility.

NEW FOR THIS YEAR: Thanks to the hard work of RJaguar3, this year's SHC will have automatic scoring. We hope this will reduce the amount of administrative time from about 90 minutes per day to around 10. Once he's ready, we will post a link to the scoreboard. The data will be stored offsite, but I will occasionally post updates as the situation warrants.

I don't understand how it all works, but I'm really glad somebody who does is on it,

Until he tells us not to, I'll continue to post a blank answer form right below the clues that you can cut and paste into your response post.

Also new for this year: The official Twitter #hashtag is #SHC2012.

About the Spoiler Tags: I'll repeat this part all week -- If you post your answers within 15 minutes (or so) of when the clues go up, please put your response in spoiler tags. After that, you can still use them if you want, but you don't have to. Last year some folks wanted to be able to see and mock each other's silliness without having correct responses spoiled. I think this way should work well.

And if you want to mock somebody, go ahead. Joke answers from non-player characters are also welcome if you're so inclined.

Enough of my babbling. On to what you came for.
