CELL BIOLOGY

by JPahk

2: This class of macromolecules is made of amino acid chains; get yours from meat, milk, and eggs.

4: The cellular organelle containing the genetic material is called this, just like the center of an atom.

6: This 5-carbon sugar is used to form the nucleotides which make the backbone of DNA.

8: This bilayer of lipid molecules separates a cell from its surroundings.

10: In plants, photosynthesis occurs within this organelle.

PROTECT YOURSELF

3: On a golf course, if you're yelling a warning from the tee of a 410-yard hole, you're probably not going to make this par score.

6: The name of this short-legged, webbed-footed bird, Anas platyrhincos, is also the term for a cricket score of zero.

9: A rib in a wooden ship's frame, or what a lumberjack might say when he cuts down the tree to make the rib.

12: This word is traditionally yelled by U. S. soldiers when they hear enemy artillery shells in the air.

15: Joseph Hooker led an assault on this mountain outside Chattanooga, Tennessee on November 24, 1863.

SpoilerShow
2 - protein
4 - nucleus
6 - deoxyribose
8 - plasma membrane (also phospholipid bilayer cell membrane - I would have said cell membrane but "cell" is in the question, and I'm not sure if you want the "phospho" part. The question is just a tad vague as written.)
10 - chloroplast

3 - four/fore - not sure if you are asking for the number or the warning
6 - duck
9 - timber
12 - incoming?
15 - Lookout
"And has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"
He chortled in his joy.
